Dark Red Hair

Hi there.

I am after some advice on how to achieve the below hair colour.
My hair is very fine and a little damaged from previous bleaching but only a little dry at the ends.

This is my current hair colour

I have bought this hair colour but then decided I should see what others think who have had more experience and may have more of an idea if this will work or not πŸ™‚

Over your hair now I doubt that should really do much. Is your hair now dyed? If it is your best bet is to get a colour remover such as colour b4 to try to get the dye out of your hair. Colour removers are non damaging and can be used up to three times.

After that you should be left with a sort of gingery colour which would be a good base to get the colour you are after with a semi permanent dye such as directions rubine or another dark pink-red colour.

Semi dye is a better option as it's non damaging and to have more control of the colour. And you won't have to process your hair every time your hair needs touching up. Permanent red dyes are brown based and fade very fast to brown.

Adore copper brown might be similar to that colour, unlike the name it looks more of a purply reddish brown.

I was hoping to get away from semi permanents as they fade too fast. Though it seems that is the only way.

Thanks for your help ^.^  *thx*

Direct dyes, especially reds, will actually last a lot longer than a permanent dye. Permanent reds fade very quickly, and constantly topping up the colour causes unnecessary damage. If you can remove the brown dye you should have a perfect base for creating that type of dark red.
