Oh @kahrisa and @Valaina, how did it come out??
I currently have some Hask Henna n Placenta Extra Strength Conditioning Treatment on. I love this stuff so much!
Root touch up and color weekend is here! I get to try out my new Wella Blondor, I hope it works well. The last time I did my roots I used the cream version of powder bleach I was using (Ion brand) and it only brought me to gold wheras with the powder I was getting to pale yellow. I am going to have to overlap to take care of the gold from last time, they look super brassy.
You are having the exact same problem as me BabyJ. I am going to try a better bleach next time also. I have no idea how people do their roots when they have purple/lilac hair as mine goes bright green even if I am careful not to overlap, just from the run off. Definitely my most challenging colour.
I am soooo pleased with how it came out. I've struggled to get any pics that show the colours properly. They seem to come out blue but the actual colour is deep purple with magenta strands. There's hardly any rub off at all, I love the adore dyes!!
These are the best I've managed to get so far
@kahrisa, wow, oh I'm so happy for you! I know you've been battling the blue/green for so long, the color came out beautifully!
@Wicked Pixie, when I used to touch up my lilac/icy blue/periwinkle, by the time it was time to do my roots, the color had already faded so I was usually white or light silver at that point. Maybe try to fade out the color a bit if it hasn't faded much, just focusing on the hair by the roots? I always diluted Pravana violet and blue for my pastels if that makes any difference. They usually were fade to white or light silver in about a month and a half
Friday is pay day which means I can skip happily to Sally's and purchase lots of bleach, toner and colour removers in anticipation for my next hair project. Hopefully my hair sharn't fall out.
@Katie, i spent an entire 6/7 weeks force fading my colour, it was really pastel by the time i bleached, the ends were just toned, but it still went very green! I haven't used Plum in my mix this time (I used Rose Red, Neon blue and Pravana silver) as I wonder if it was the Plum causing the green tones. Time will tell.
@Kahrisa, gorgeous shade of purple.
Maybe it was the plum? It's not the first time I've heard of plum going green. It will be interesting to see what happens next time, I hope it goes all according to plan next time for you!
Wicked, the tiny bit of overlap I had last time did turn it green, but it was very minty by the time it was time to rinse, so my dye covered it no problem. I have also been force fading for 6 weeks(since I dyed it). My hair hates me for it. I normally co wash every 5 days, but I've been washing with a sulfate shampoo 2-3 times a week, and did fade treatments twice in the last week. Hopefully I will happy with the tone of my purple so I won't have to be so aggressive again. Coconut oil going on now!
Edit: got a really nice even result from the Wella Blondor. It was a really nice consistency also. I thought where I overlapped would go way lighter than my new growth, but it matches perfect. Super excited! Hope the color will turn out nice.
Yay pink!
YESS i bet it looks awesome!
It looks abit red in the photo but it's more like magenta!

Did an overnight coconut/olive oil treatment on my hair last night. Thinking about doing some test strands later today with some colors I have leftover. The pinks and purples I have are Pravana Pink, Magenta and Violet, Hot Hot Pink, Virgin Rose, Atomic Pink, and Rose Red. I haven't used the Hot Hot Pink yet, think I may try mixing that with Virgin Rose and maybe a drop of Violet.
