Currently got a diluted mix of Adore African Violet and Indigo Blue on my dipdye. Just a little splodge of each and a large splodge of conditioner.
I don't feel like my hair's in good enough condition for another bleach bath just now and I'm bored of the weird ginger greeny blonde thing I have going on.
Mixed up beautifully, looked an almost-cadbury's blurple in the bowl but by the time I combed it through my hair (which was a fight and took ages) it kind of looked green :/ so I don't hold out much hope.
Going to leave it on for several hours anyway, my hair could use the conditioning at least. Even if it just tones the weirdness a bit it'll be a bonus.
I hope it comes out well π
It's not 100% dry yet so the final colour is uncertain (and oh god it's a bit patchy) but for now I can reveal that it's NOT purple π hahahahaa
(edited)
It came out ... yucky patchy green.
I think I know what happened though - first of all I diluted too much, secondly I didn't apply it very well - then the purple dye was cancelled out by the ginger in my hair, leaving blue dye to try to cover mucky yellow. Genius.
Today's mix;
A dash of old Directions Turquoise (maybe less than a teaspoon)
A generous teaspoon each of old Atlantic Blue and Neon Blue, a squirt (maybe a teaspoon) of Adore Indigo Blue and a squirt of conditioner.
The only blue I didn't use was Adore Aquamarine π
I am hoping for blue but I won't be upset if it has a green undertone.
I did have a plan for what colours my hair was going to be at some point in my life!! Kind of just going with the flow now.
I hope it works better for you this time! Keep us updated.
I've rinsed, not quite dry yet but preliminary results are MUCH better than yesterday, if a bit on the dark side.
Pics later. π
Bleaching my roots right now after many months of growing them out. I've got loads of grey coming through so figured I'd do them and maybe change my colour
currently dying with diluted Neon blue, over fleshly bleached roots and a pinky red still on ends.
Tried to be cleaver and thought just doing the diluted neon blue over roots and into faded dye section would give a cool fade into colours. Nope!
Didnt realise neon blue was purple base (still cool though), but the fade just looked really messy. So more diluted Neon Blue on my head, hoping it will turn out a little nicer this time π
I just whacked a load of Directions silver and Crazy Colour silver (mixed) on my hair. I had stuff left over so gonna use that on my extensions if I'm happy with the colour! π
ETA:
Not a lot happened >__>
Just spent 2 hours doing my hair. Now sat with Directions Atlantic Blue, Stargazer Magenta, Turquoise & a green, I hate waiting *puzz*
Ooh I can't wait to see! I love living vicariously through other people's long hair :p
Ooh, awesome thread! π So earlier tonight I did a bleach bath over coconut oil, and I currently have a SMT (Snowymoon's Moisture Treatment) on, from the Long Hair Community; most of you have probably heard of it already, mine's four part various conditioners, one part honey, one part aloe vera, one part glycerin, one part gelatine powder and one part powdered coconut milk. Had it under my heat cap for a couple of hours; I'll sleep on it and rinse it out tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping to get to silver in time.
Currently have a mix of Adore Purple Rage, a splash of African Violet & 2 big blobs of Manic Panic Deep Purple Dream on my damp hair. Going to leave it on for about 6-9 hours, hopefully it'll be really dark & deep.
... 3 hours later & I'm loving what the colour looks like but I'm itching to wash it off! Maybe I'll wash it off in an hour if I still feel the same. I seriously hate waiting!
My dissertation is due next Wednesday. Here's what I'm doing instead. (Bleaching my shaved side to dye, in case you can't tell)
That is an awesome photo!
I am topping up my turquoise and green mix. I wanted to fade it out ready for a colour change but I'm seeing my grandparents this weekend and don't want to have faded messy hair. The colour change will have to wait!
I'm fading my current dull orangey red with a mix of head & shoulders, coconut oil and bleach powder to get as much out as I can before doing a quick bleach bath to go a shade or two lighter then will hopefully go back to a much brighter pinky red!! π
A xXx
