From the fading treatments I've been doing, my hair looked surprisingly yellow today, so I thought some toning was in order.  Plus it gave me an excuse to do something else tonight.

So it was another hot oil treatment with an olive oil that is supposedly "light in colour" (a bit lighter than normal olive oil), and I added CC Platinum and Touch of Silver conditioner.  Worked out well... Touch of Silver has always made a very subtle difference on my hair, and I thought the Platinum only showed up on hair that is light enough to tone. Some areas are still too dark, but perhaps a lot of it is at a lighter level than I realise.

And Katie, thanks for the suggestion of a sweatband - didn't use one last night, and I certainly needed it with the oil. 🙂

I do admit though that I'm really itchy to bleach but am being extremely patient.  I will have an excuse in a couple weeks because my roots will really need doing.  I have to start giving my hair a break from doing anything, as harmless as it may be.  I just keep wanting to see changes and try things out, it's ridiculous.

😀

May have just impulse dyed my hair orange...

I've used Directions Mandarin diluted with a small amount of conditioner. I hope this suits me, I usually go for pastels! I'll wash it off in half an hour, wish me luck!!

Hope both of you like how it turns out!

I'm still waiting to do my root retouch, no by choice though! I haven't had the opportunity to get up to Salon Centric yet because they are only open til 4 on Saturadays and between 6-7 on weekdays, closed Sundays...so they're closed before Jake has even left work yet. I may be able to work something out with my mom, her car and the kids today or tomorrow. I have been prepping for the bleach bath so I haven't washed my hair in 13 days now, and coconut oiled like, 4 days ago because I thought I would be bleaching then....my hair is a grease bucket and its driving me nuts lol

Please Gods of transportation and Gods of hair, please let me get to Salon Centric today! lol

Ugh it's awful, I hate it. It's more red-orange than orange. Almost like a dark coral. What is the fade like with Mandarin? Does anyone know?

I dyed my hair with mandarin once and it faded really quickly, the colour barely held at all.

I did a fade treatment on my hair last night(baking soda + clarifying shampoo) in preparation to bleach my roots and dye this weekend - but although loads of color came out, I think I could do with another fade treatment first.  Blonde is starting to show through near my root area but the ends are still pretty saturated.

I haven't got anything on the go at the moment but I just did two awesome french braids in my wet hair to make my hair all braid wavey for tomorrow! 😀

So no chance I'm getting to Salon Centric today. I may be able to at least get to Sallys though. I just hate buying bleach from there because it costs so much more in the long run. I can get a 32oz tub of Matix bleach powder for $22 from SC, or pay $4 for an ounce or two from Sallys...

Update:

Finally got over to Salon Centric! Bought some Light Master and a litre of developer for $3 🙂 I have the bleach bath mix processing on my roots right now  😀

Ive just bleach bathed my roots , and then diluted the mixture even more with shampoo, and pulled it through my ends for a couple of mins at the end of the timing.  it took most of the rose red out, but  surprise appearance from that Green which  is still there, lurking, reading to pounce!!  to say hello again..      Im currently sitting with a mix of Pillar box and Vermillion red , and diluted vermillion on the tips.

Katie, can you tell me how you girls do bleach bathing on your roots and get full coverage? How do you do it without touching the already processed hair?

Currently sitting with decolour remover on my turquoise hair! I'm not confident it will work though. Also I did the allergy test but didn't wait the full 48 hours (waited around 44) I know I should of waited but I'm so inpatient :-/ I can feel a slight burning sensation but only on one part of my head at the back so maybe I had a slight scratch or something. I managed to cover my hair reasonable well with one bottle, but I have another bottle of decolour and a bottle of jobaz as a back up, as well as bleach if I need it. Super nervous this won't work, it's bloody expensive!

I'm also sitting with decolour remover on! We're fart head friends!

Not sure how it's going to lift the adore orange off, but the dye was pretty faded and the hair has only been dyed once so crossy fingers...
