I would definitely suggest using the second colour remover before turning to bleach. It will work up to three times so it's worth it π
What colour is it now Nerdiemonster? Did it go any more purple?
I became the lake monster...this is kinda funny.
My roots came back to my natural ginger (damp hair)
And this is...pretty self explanatory
I'll use the colour remover 2 more times, as i have enough for almost 3 more and if it doesn't take that brown-black away i guess i'll just have to bleach it? Heh....dark violet is my goal (the ideal would be lavender but let's just be realistic here) so it shouldn't be too hard!
Wow, that has come out such a weird colour. Not like plum at all.
It is obviously not plum, as you all can tell. So maybe they ruined a whole batch mixing it with black? I don't know...but i'll send a message about this to La Riche because, well, it's just ridiculous. First they change the formula and now this? What else? Maybe turn their green into brown? Hah...
I'm currently fading out my orange hair enough to hopefully go a corally colour soon π I'm hoping I can fade it down a bit then put carnation pink over it to make coral.
Retouching me roots today! I can't remember how long it's been since I've done them. I usually write about it in this thread but I didn't last time. It's been 10-11 weeks since the retouch before that so I'm guessing it's been about 6 weeks and I have about 1 1/3in of regrowth. I'm hoping I don't get any banding! I've been meaning to do them the past 2 weeks but had to wash my hair for a dr appointment for the kids, so had to wait for more oils to build back up, then did that fading treatment so had to wait again. It's been slathered in coconut oil for days now, just reapplied more a couple hours ago. Keeping my fingers crossed I don't get banding! lol
Still not sure what I'm going to do after with them though. I may tone them to white, or put a lilac on them and blend it down into the pink a little...I may like how the pale yellow looks with this pink/coral I have going on though. Idk, I'll just have to see!
Im currently sat with shower cap and 2 carrier bags on head. Going over roots with Adore Purple Rage, I dyed few days ago and its faded from roots after one wash a yucky weird shade, π
Watching Family Guy, then American Dad loads of eps on tonight, seen them loads of times but still funny π Gonna sleep with dye on.
i just clarified my hair and am waiting for it to dry before i take on my husband's suggestion for my next color mission. right now, my hair's still a very vibrant virgin rose, and i have fairly long yellow-blonde roots. i'm going to try to strategically add sections of rockabilly blue and pimpin purple, while leaving the rest of my hair vr.
eep! i'm kind of excited and nervous at this prospect-- i've only done this sort of thing once before, and only using two colors... i've never taken on three colors at once! fingers crossed that my first partial-rainbow comes out well!
Still have to wait about two weeks before I can do anything with bleach to my hair. I'm working on toning it now. I'm hoping to get it to the point where I can put in turquoise. So hard to wait! But I know that I definitely don't want to ruin my hair so wait I shall.
well, im done and.... i love the way the *front* came out. the back is a little strange. there's such a harsh line in my layers-- i think i somehow sectioned it too perfectly! i posted pictures, but i need to wait for sunlight to take some better ones. my bathroom lights make colors seem so wonky and desaturated.
Just to share I'm "currently not dying", nor bleaching. I bleached my roots about a month ago (have been doing them every 3 to 4 weeks) but I am starting to like the look of roots - they give a bit of an edge to the blonde!
I'm going to see what it looks like as it grows in and either spot-highlight if I need to (to create a sort of balayage-ish effect) or perhaps add in some low-lights if I think they'll work.
I'm ready for something a bit different, and I have no idea what I'll end up doing, but as stupid and boring as it sounds, I'm excited to let the roots grow in, not worry about bleaching for a while, and see what plan these grown-in roots will lead to!
that doesn't sound stupid-- it's not like root touch ups are fun!!
i have the same reasoning behind the placement of my color blocks-- i want to grow out my bleach, but want less of a demarcation. i basically tried to do what you're planning on doing using spot highlighting, only i used blue and purple.
Ok so I am doing two test strands now. Beyond the Zone Tripped Up Turquoise full strength and then another strand with it diluted. I'm trying to see how they come out on my yellowy hair. Hopefully they turn out alright (: Apparently you have to leave it on for a very long time so here I am waiting!
Thanks @pastina... I think we do have similar motives - I love how yours turned out, it's brilliant!
I hope we see pictures of your turquoise, @satd_mcrmy, hope it's turning out how you hoped!
