I don't know about you, but I often come on here while I'm waiting for dye to develop or I have a treatment in my hair and such. I was inspired by another thread and thought it would be cool to add a thread on this site for anyone who is doing their hair. You could write about what color you're dying it, if you're bleaching it, doing a treatment, a color remover, etc, and say how it's coming along and if you have any thoughts about it. So, not really a Q&A thread, more just a prolonged chat.

I thought it would be cool but if the mods think it's lame that fine πŸ™‚

I currently have a ton of coconut oil in my hair in preparation for a root retouch within the next couple days. It will be my first root retouch since going with my first allover unnatural color!

I'm contemplating using jobaz tonight to help fade my directions Turqouise, but I've got the job centre in the morning and don't want to turn up with swampy hair... I'm also waiting for some purple based blue dyes to arrive in the mail... Which should hopefully arrive in the morning if I don't miss the delivery due to stupid job centre commitments...

Good idea for a thread! I'm not currently doing anything hair-wise... but shall surely report back when I am πŸ™‚

Love the new thread!  Does it count if I'm "currently dying" to do my next hair treatment? πŸ˜€

At the moment, I'm putting in time, another couple weeks or so, before I lighten it up a bit more.  Roots will definitely need doing by then too.

We went out into Central London last night, and I saw a girl at a pub that had the killer hair I want, I think it's my new goal!  It was a few inches longer than mine, and the colour was a gentle and soft, very light natural blonde.  So I guess I envied both the length and the colour.

Katie, I'm so intrigued by the cut/style you're going to do!  And it seems like just yesterday you posted your new colour, and now you're talking about doing roots already.  Your hair must grow quickly.  And going more purply-pink did you say?

If I have to refrain from actually doing my hair because it needs to rest a bit, I just love planning the next step!

I'm just maintaining at the mo! It has grown a bit recently, get this....it's only about an inch shorter than my old extensions!! Yaaay lol.
I'm seriously considering blue velvet again though, but I'm tempted to invest in some more wigs so I can mix it up a bit πŸ™‚

@Alexia it's normally grown only 1/8 - 1/4 in/month my whole life, except for when I was pregnant with Violet, it grew 1/2-3/4 inch/month. I have never in my life had this kind of hair growth in a single month! I don't understand it but I'm definitely not complaining  though! lol. For my cut I just need to cut off probably 2-3 inches from the length and layers. Between from when those now bottom bits were fried years ago from my ex boss going nutso with 50 vol and the 3 bleach baths I put them through this time around, they're now splitting. Plus they're stained ginger from the black dye buildup, so cutting them off will help with my color too. I want an overall just cooler tone to the pink. So I may use diluted Virgin Rose over it when it fades some more, or Adore's Pink Rose - unless I think of something else πŸ™‚ And I totally know what you mean, I get just as excited planning and preparing for the next step as I do when I'm actually doing it!

Meeshy, I don't know what else to say excpet Congratulations! lol Yay for hair growth!

LOL! I do wonder how many times I change my mind over the course of having to wait to do my hair!

Currently sat with a mix of clarifying shampoo, dish wash liquid and hand wash on my head. I did use jobaz in the end last night..... And did have to face the world with swampy green hair. People Wernt kidding when they said directions turquoise is hard to fade were they :-/ I've never not had results from jobaz before. Bugger. All that work (several normal washes, 2 bicarb washes , hot oils , and then colour remover) and I might have to just dye over this smooshy mess for Wednesday in turquoise again, my other dye didn't arrive :c

I used decolour on turquoise before and it took it to a very pale icy minty colour

Eh didn't work on me! It's taken it from my roots and made it a shade or two lighter but that's it!

Oh sorry I thought it was the same thing! It was jobaz. I'm in the UK, I've never heard of decolour remover.

Edit, is it this? http://m.boots.com/mt/www.boots.com/en/Decolour-Hair-Colour-Remover_1262294/#un_jtt_addtohome_hidden

yeah, decolour remover is a UK colour remover πŸ™‚ It is awesome. There's a few threads on here about it. I've used it to remove turquoise, alpine green, bright red, and even dark brown. It does depend on hair types and hair history on how well it works, but I think a lot of us have had a lot of success with it on bright semi colours

Glad it was mentioned then I was gonna hit the bleach tonight! Although if I don't find it tomorrow I'll end up doing a bleach and another jobaz anyway, but yeah, thanks!
