Curly girl "bed" hair

Hi!

Sooo I've been doing the curly girl thing for a little while now and I've recently found it's been getting all messed up in bed :-[  I have a silk pillowcase, and I don't have time to wash it in the mornings.

Any ideas?

Thanks  ;D

I used to push my hair up over my head and over the top of the pillow. I'd rather flat under side hair than the top layers! It generally worked.

Or a sleeping cap?

Mine does the same when its curly, sometimes i just do a few more curls in morning and it just gives you that messy curl look. If i cant be bothered doing that i just put serum on the ends to smooth the curls out and a bit of dry shampoo on the roots to to make it look less flat πŸ™‚

If my curls get flattened on one side I just spritz with water or scrunch some water into the flat part to reactivate the curl.

I have this same problem!  My curls are an absolute mess when I wake up and there is no way to prevent it in my case (I'm a very fitful sleeper).  Another curly-girl suggested something to me a while ago that is my go-to solution for bed head now.  Like WickedPixie said, I do a light spritz of water all over (not soaking the hair, just making it lightly damp) then add a small (dime size) dollop of silicone free conditioner to my palm, rub it around and try to evenly distribute through the ends.  Give it a light scrunch and I'm good to go!  Once it dries (which is pretty quickly) it looks good as new on me!

Ah yes, I used to do the water thing too. I'd forgotten about that.
