I am about to embark on co washing for the first time, after spending the last 6 weeks eeking out my washes & my current shampoo is about to run out, i figure its time...

Can anyone recommend a cone free heat protector, i currently use both aussie & tresseme but they both contain cones.

Also, I've bought 2 conditioners: tesco coconut & almond, tresseme naturals- will they be suitable, i.e. one for the wash part and one for the condition?

I really hope my hair is going to be in good condition under all the cones I've been using!!

Thanks πŸ™‚

I use some drops of organic argan (or coconut) oil as heat protectant. I never found a silicone-free heat protector, to be honest... I once tried to buy a Coconut spray from Desert Essence that was cone free but it got stuck at the customs because it was shipped from the US.

I have also used a detangling leave-in as heat protectant and it seemed to work. It's organic and silicone-free http://www.lovea.fr/beaute/soins-des-cheveux.html page it's in French but I'm pretty sure there are English website selling these products.. the one I mean is called DΓ©mΓͺlant Brillance. It's not sold as heat protectant though, so don't trust me too much on this πŸ˜€ my hair is pretty thick and shame over me, I often forget about using a heat protection because I'm in a hurry...

I have been using this for a long time and when I started CO washing I checked and it seems to be cone free apart from one soluble cone!
