I have been looking to a forum trying to find a treatment thread or section but couldn't find one. I think that would be a great addition I would love to know what brand deep conditioning treatment people would recommend. I have been coloring my hair with box blonde hair color for 20 years and want to find some really good deep conditioner and any other products that help repair and protect hair, especially hair that has been repeatedly processed, straightened, and blow dried. Thanks.
Aussie3 minute miracle is a good one, coconut oil is something a lot of people swear by, left in your hair for a few hours or overnight before washing,it's also good to protect hair from damage before bleaching as well.
Most of the Aussie conditioners are packed full pod silicone unfortunately. Not the biggest sin in the world, but not ideal as it masks the damage you might have which is bad when you then are over confident on the condition or your hair!
I'll come back when I remember others.
I like to use conditioning masks that I make at home. I use coconut oil, avocado oil, and then I usually mix in an egg for a little protein boost, my hair responds well to protein, but be careful cause some people don't and it can cause more problems! I leave it on for how ever long you can stand, I do about 2 hours. I rinse that out and then I use the macadamia oil deep conditioner, and leave that in for like 10-15 minutes then rinse and towel dry and then add a little coconut oil to my lengths. I've had good success with this method. My hair is pretty strong and I don't really ever have split ends. I'm in the process of growing out a pixie so making my hair strong is top priority, lol. Im working on chin length hair, I'm hoping by Christmas to have it all one length at my chin!! Woohoo!
