As I am sitting with my hair covered in olive oil under a plastic cap I've been online searching for Joico K-PAC conditioners.  Could anyone recommend a good place to buy this from?

I usually buy mine from amazon or ebay, you can get them slightly cheaper.

If you live in the US, Sallys here usually carries the brand GVP (Great Value Products). They make their own version of the Kpak DPR and many other big name products. Every single one I have tried has literally been identical in consistency, color, scent, and most importantly, results. They even say on the from of the product "Compare to...", and they have their ingredients list and the name brand ingredients list on the back. It really is the exact same thing and for the Kpak DPR it's only about $6 for 8oz of it!

I don't live in the USA but there is a Sally's where I live in England.  Do you have the exact name of it?  I'd be happy to buy a cheaper version if it's as good!

Ok I found what you are talking about on Sally's USA but it is not on the Sally's UK website.  *ott*

I found it on Amazon, sold directly from the Sally Beauty Amazon account. I will probably buy it from there since my Sally's don't stock it and the not-Sally's beauty supply sells Joico for like $20 plus tax for the smallest bottle. The GVP one sells for $5.79 + $5.95 shipping so it's just over half the price for more product.

It's only on the American Amazon, and they don't ship to Europe at all :/

I kep researching, and it's funny: Google maps says there's a Sally's in a town very close (Ludwigshafen), and there's one right next to where my bf lives (Stuttgart) that has closed. The store finder from Sally's only lists the one in Stuttgart. None of them have a website or phone number listed. I guess I will have to actually check out the places and hope...

Well I went ahead and bought a huge bottle of Joico K-PAC reconstructor.  I obviously need another conditioner to make the texture of my hair feel better though.  Not sure I can afford the Joico hydrator after spending so much on the reconstructor though, any suggestions?  Also wondering can too much coconut oil be bad for your hair?  Seems no matter how much I put  on, my hair just soaks it all up!

Everybodies hair is differnet. Coconut oil is a proein, so you may over prtein your hair(same if you use kpak to often) You'll be able to tell as your hair will feel kinda crunchy/dry. Is hard to explain, but you'll know once you feel it. Whwn my hair was damaged I used to sleep with kpak in and it' be fine. Now my hair is healthy any longer than 1/2 hour and my hair feels horrid.

I use naked conditoner

and follow up with this. I really love this brand.

Thanks Pippachainsaw, I was wondering about the protein thing.  I loaded my hair with coconut oil and slept in it last night and then used K-Pak again today, dug out some conditioner (from inside a box of dye I won't be using) and now today my hair is feeling healthier than it's been in a long time  *1*.    I didn't even use a styling product, I usually load my hair with mousse or lotion to deFrizz everything but somehow it looks and feels good without anything at all.
I'll check into those conditioners from nakedbodycare!

Now I'm just waiting on all my Adore colours to get here so I can do some experimenting, can't wait!
