Hi hair guru's, on for a bit if advice!
I've had a break from bright colours for 18 month to give my hair a break, get a bit of better health in to it and to be relieved of the Β£60 odd a month expenses (I both coloured frequently and my hairs so thick it took lots of dye to cover)
I always used live color xxl 00a to lighten my hair enough and to date it's went yellow/orange enough for all colours to take from blue, purple, orange, pink and red - in variance shades and mixes of my own.
I'm now coming back to the dark but oh so good side and quite fancy a bit of turquoise. I've looked at a few of the colours in the blue album and some of them do appear to have went over the yellow/orange so I think it should be ok. Just wanted to double check? I'm thinking of maybe mixing some conditioner through it for both a bit lighter of a colour (if you guys think it will take) and to make the dye stretch a little.
Any advice you have to offer will be much appreciated π x
Well the darke the blue, the more forgiving. Turq for instance, applied over a yellower shade will fade greener. If you're after pastels then you'll need a very pale base. So basically it depends on what shade you're after.
Thanks for the reply pippachainsaw
A green fade would be fine, I was contemplating going back to blue at first but thought since i hadn't tried turq I'd give it a go. Worse comes to worse, blue should take over the fade of turq if I didn't like it, wouldn't it? This was my previous blue...
If you put a straight, purple based blue over turq fade it should come out a pretty much true blue, so you could cover the greeny fade pretty nicely if you didn't like it.
