Brassy blond to light ash brown

Hi there,

About six months ago my hairdresser gave me a beautiful dark blonde balayage. The downside is that it cost me around 300 euros. Something i cannot afford multiple times a year.

Now my hair is brassy, blonde/gold/orange looking what makes me very pale. Also i have outgrowth.
What i would like is light ash brown hair (something like the picture).
I've read that i first need to use a red filler, also i've read many good things on Wella toners. Also i have know idea what color and volume i can use to get the best results.

Can someone give me advice on what steps i should take to make me a light ash lioness?

Thank you soo much!

ps: I'm Dutch, i'm sorry if i made any mistakes in this post.

You don't need a red toner; you already have red in your hair (the brassy/oranges tones). You need a green or blue-green toner to balance that - orange and blue are opposites on the colour wheel, as are red and green.

Beyond that...I'm not sure. I'm not good with more natural colours. I know Adore do a green-based brown true semi-permanent (I want to say Mocha but I can't remember which it is. I know, I'm really helpful today πŸ˜‰ ) But that's what you'd be looking for: a brown with a greenish or khaki tone to it, to balance out the redness that's there now.

It is Medium Brown that is green based. I would also add a drop of Blue black to get ashy tones on orange hair.

Yeah, that's if you're going from a paler blonde to a darker ash shade, especially from white blonde.
