Hey. I was wondering if anyone knows any safe blue hair dye? I need one that is safe on my hair and won't make it fall out or mess up my hair. I've used Manic Panic and they are good. I had a problem with their blues, but I didn't dye my hair bright enough. Also is was a blue based green. I used SFX Electric Blue and it works. I bleached my hair bright enough and it turned out good. But the blue was a blue based purple and the blue only lasted two shampoos. I used cold water and good shampoos and conditioners. It was also hard to brush after I got done from doing it too.
Does anyone know any other brand that is safe on your hair and is a blue based blue? lol Yeah blue based blue. Something that will last longer then two shampoos? Thanks

There aren't many blue based blues. They tend to be green based or purple based.
Most blue dyes are good for your hair. Any that aren't are ones that require two parts to be mixed together. If they're just one part then they're safe and non damaging (safe unless you have allergies of course, you should always do a skin test).
You should also have a read of the 'how to keep you colour vibrant' in the tutorial section, it'll help a lot with colour fading to a hue you don't want quickly.

Pravana's blue is pretty balanced (or was, i don't know since they tweaked the formulas) or you can mix your own perfect blue; a green based mixed with a purple based colour should work, or add a little pink to a green based blue, or turquoise to a purple based one

Sorry for the late reply. I will try the mixing. What shade or pink would work? I normally use manic panic, so if I got After Midnight Blue, what shade of pink should I add to it?
I see they updated their pinterest with color samples. If you have a hair color, what the dye will look like when applied. Both Shocking Blue and Rockabilly Blue look the best. If I got Shocking Blue, what pink would I need to mix it with? How long will it stay? Are there colors I can mix to get dark blue?
