[Sticky] Bleaching/Toning Charts

Here's a couple of charts for the stages hair goes through while lightening as well as how to colour-correct and tone hair.

Stages While Bleaching.  NEVER bleach to white.  It's not on the chart for a reason--your hair will go there, but it will be completely fried when it reaches that level.

Colour Correction Chart (toning).  You want a diluted version of the corrective colour.  It goes both ways, as well--if your hair is too ashy and you want to warm it up, add a bit of yellow.

Thanks for this. I'm now sure that I'm in the gold stage but my ends are stained. Its good to know that I won't have far to go if I did want to consider BB again.

This is helpful, as I haven't known how to identify my "level" yet.

Good information to know where I am and what I want to achieve... and better yet, determining strength of peroxide required!

Thought I would add this one to the great ones Intemp already posted. Thought it may be helpful to see examples of the underlying pigment how it looks in hair too πŸ™‚
