Bleach after colour b4? going from red/pink to purple

Hello everyone!

Today I used a colour b4, but only for 20 minutes as the instructions were misleading. I was thinking about doing another round seeing as you're supposed to be able to use 3 in a row.

A little big of background/my hair info:

I've been dying my hair with SFX Blood Red for I don't know how many years. Sometimes I bleached it, mostly I just threw it over my natural hair color. I also did a round or two with cherry bomb. Then I dyed one half (with a sidepart) black with a "semi-perm" color. Last time I dyed it I used a mix of atomic pink and blood red. I also bleached all but my ends before this color mix, and this was done in early April.

I've bleached it once about 2,5 weeks ago, and I've also used several fading techniques which did help a little.  But I stumbled over a packet of Color b4 today and I couldn't resist as I've read so much about it here! (long time sneak, hello ;p) It did help a lot with the part that's been black, had been faded a red/orangey brown. But ofc, I want my hair to be lighter. I would love a soft purple/violet.

Too long to read: I had red/Pink hair, with a black section. I bleached/faded it and used a packet of B4 but it's not as light as I'd want it to be for dying it purple.

Is it possible to bleach after using b4?
How long should one wait to do so?
Does using clarifying/dandruff shampoo help to prep b4 hair for bleach?

You can bleach after a colour remover, but it is best to wait about a week and make sure you have washed it out really thoroughly or there is a chance the old dye can re-oxidise and go dark again. You can check by putting some neat peroxide on a strand and seeing if it darkens. If not you are good to go, but colour removers are very drying to both hair and scalp so still better to wait at least a week and let  your natural oils build back up.
Colour B4 can be left on for an hour, for future reference.
Also be aware that Atomic pink is pretty resistant to bleaching, and reds can cause permanent staining, so it might not be possible to get the light base you would like.

I can only get a hold of box dye bleach :/ so I don't know how I'm going to test with neat peroxide? (norwegian problems)

Thank you for the advice πŸ™‚ I know Atomic Pink can be a hassle, but it has actually faded quite a bit. I'll see if I'm able to post some pics from my phone later!

Just use a tiny bit of the developer that comes in the box, that is peroxide. You can also get liquid peroxide in chemists for cleaning wounds etc, (at least you can in the UK) that would also work.
