I need major help learning how to do this ombre look. What products would be best to create this look? I want as close to these colors as possible, maybe even an "Off Black" instead of "black" for the darker color. Please help, thank you!

My hair right now is a dark brown... I dyed it in August using Revlon ColorSilk #20 Black Brown, so most of that color is probably gone because of fading or cutting. My natural color is around a level 3 or 4 so my dyed hair is a level 2. Hope this helps.

You'll need to use a colour remover such as colour b4 or decolour remover first to get residual dye out of your hair to make it easier to lighten. You want to get as much colour out as possible and you can use them up to three times.

The ends of your hair will have to be extremely pale to achieve a true grey/silver colour. You should lighten with bleach baths at least a week apart to be as gentle as possible, using coconut oil a few hours before hand and leaving it on during bleaching to protect your hair. You need to get to a pale yellow like the inside of a banana, then tone to near white using a purple dye diluted heavily in conditioner.

After all of that you can use a direct dye like pravana silver for the grey and your choice of black/blue black semi dye for the black part.

Since you're starting off so dark and your hair is already processed you will damage your hair during the lightening process and you may lose some length. Also you might have staining from the dark brown dye which could make it impossible to get to your intended colour. Take it slow and watch the condition of your hair.
