I'm looking for cruelty-free hair dye brands. Punky hair colors. I love colors! π So far I've dyed my hair Burgundy, Teal and Magenta. I'm thinking of doing Fuschia next. Know any good color bases that come closest to it.
Each hair brand all over their own set of colors. I love Special Effects but sometimes I can't find it since I know a lot of people seem to love it and I have to wait until they stock back on it. I've used the brand and I gotta say the colors stay in long.
I'm learning and would love to dye my hair Fuschia next. When I dye it again, should I lighten it again? I don't want to damage my hair. Pointers and suggestions would be great! Thank you!!
Directions is cruelty free and personally my fave. I wouldn't be able to say whether you need to lighten your hair though without knowing what shade you currently are and how much it's previously been lightened
Hi,
The following section on Beeunique explains more about which dyes are totally vegan friendly and which are not tested on animals - https://www.beeunique.co.uk/faq-hair-dye-bleaching
Special Effects is a fantastic brand and my fav too (especially atomic pink), but I too get frustrated with the lack of consistency in production. Thankfully a new batch of colours is on its way to us and should arrive in less than 2 weeks, and another 9 colours will be available in around 4 weeks.

My hair is light blonde so I'll most likely have to lighten it a little bit.
Thanks for the update on the cruelty free and vegan hair dyes. I wasn't aware of which brands to get, so I'm glad I asked. I lightened it before I dyed it last and I usually dye it ever other month. I've used Directions once and Special Effects.
I love the color Magenta and Fuschia or hot Pinks. Thanks for all the information you've given me so far. If I have any other questions, I'll be sure to ask. Thank you both!! π
Manic Panic Amplified has always stayed in my hair the longest and therefore remained my favourite.
I used to use Hot Hot Pink and it came out a gorgeous colour! Plus when you use a shower cap, towel on your pillow and sleep in the dye over night your hair will come out so lovely and soft.
