Best colours over light ginger base

Hi! Purple takes well on a ginger base. I think I'm right in saying  that if you want to use blue or green shades you need a blonde base.

If you want to go the blue green way, you can actually get a really nice dark teal shade over a ginger base.

But yeah, other than that, red, orange, dark pink or purple. And all will be a little more red toned due to the orange.

Thankyou ladies, I am swaying to maybe a rich purple then! Or i may do red again and purple next time, so many choices

Base colour

You could do sn awesome magenta or purple over that base.  Special effects, Adore and Arctic fox have got some lovely magenta and purple shades. I had a very similar base to you and purple took beautifully.

Thankyou for the replies, so I went red again as I had a bottle of red in the cupboard from last time. Now I'm thinking what is the best red to get a pillarbox red? I was hoping mine would be pillarbox but has come out more muted, any advice on best dyes? I'm using a Sallys own on my hair at the moment called ion colour flash

Adore Ruby is a gorgeous bright red. I've also used some of the directions reds including Poppy red and pillarbox red which are both good. I miss my red hair at times ❤
