Been red ombre for ages, what next?

Hey guys,
So, about 6 months ago, I did this

I loved it but had a TON of breakage from the bleach, I literally lost chunks off some sections, and so I can't bleach again. Two different hairdressers have refused to bleach it any more. One did a strand test and the hair literally turned soft like chewing gum!!

It's faded to this

I was gonna just do it red again but am kind of bored of it so was thinking teal or violet.

Questions I would love some help with:

  • What will these look like as they fade? Will I go some mucky brown swamp colour?  ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
  • Which colour is more versatile in terms of outfits? Red kind of goes with everything. I mostly wear black, green and purple. I have a fear that wearing green with purple hair will make me look like Barney the dinosaur LOL.
    • Has anyone got photos of themselves going red-to-violet or red-to-teal so I can see what I might expect?
    • If I wanted to switch back to red afterwards, would I be able to? I'm guessing faded teal over the red will create brown, but faded violet over red will create.... burgundy?
      • Again, I cannot bleach my hair so the colour has to go over what I have right now.

      Thanks!

Over the base you have now neither of those colours are possible.
You can put purple over, but you will either get a very dark shade or more of a berry toned purple. You need blonde hair for a vivid violet.
Teal is likely to go sludgy brown, at best you could get a very dark forest green.
Over a dark orangey base you are best sticking with reds, oranges, dark pinks, magenta, or warm toned purple shades. Then you are working with your base colour rather than fighting against it. IME you need a very light base to get a nice fade from cool toned colours (blues, violets, teals) even over dark blonde bases they look sludgey very quickly and need topping up frequently unless you go for a very dark shade.

Thank you so much for your help Wicked Pixie ๐Ÿ™‚
Besides red and pink, the only colours I'd like WOULD be blue-toned, so I guess I would be fighting a losing battle  ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Thanks again ๐Ÿ™‚  *thx*
