I got me a tub of gumtree henna hair conditioner from savers last week. Got round to using it today and my hair feels a-mazing!! So much so that now I'm wondering if there are any hidden cones!
I have googled them and i don't think any are but i thought I would ask the experts!!
Ingredients are.. Aqua, cetearyl alcohol, glycerin stearate, cetrimonium chloride, paraffin, glycerin, parfum, lawsonia inermis, benzyl alcohol, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, then some numbers that are CI 19140, CI 42090, CI 14700.
It was the last two methylwhotsits that got me as they end in ..one.
If anyone could clear this up for me i would be very grateful!!
It's those ending in -cone, -xane and -conol that are the main culprits so it looks like you're OK! The CI numbers are colouring agents.
The methlyl...ones are preservatives not silicones. It does have paraffin though which is mineral oil, some people avoid it as it is similar to silicone in that it can build up and needs shampooing out.
Hahaha wicked!! I did 2 clarifying washes as I'm fading atm, left this on for an hour and it feels ace! If it does build up i should be ok doing a clarifying wash once a month right?? Bargin for a quid anyway!!
Yup, once a month will sort it.
Bah, no Savers round here that I can get to!
Total bargain, and there is hardly any liquid paraffin in it anyway, it is near the bottom of the list. I love finding products that are good AND cheap!
It's brilliant! I can't believe how much i used to spend on conditioner, now i just troll the poundshops!!
I love this conditioner! It's recently changed colours (the lid and writing, etc) and found it hard to find last time I bought it. And I've seen it in other cheaper shops, not just savers! π
There isn;t anything bad for our hair but is there anything good? like sth that would improve our hair quality? x
