Age Beautiful Darkest Blue

I am looking to dye my hair from platinum to a dark blueish black. I want more blue than black to show. I was at sally's beauty supply today and came upon a new color. Age Beautiful Darkest Blue. I have use their brand and love it. I used Darkest Plum brown and a lot of purple pulled through. I was wondering if anyone has used this color.

Thanks in advance
XOXO

The new formula SFX Blue Velvet started off a rich black / navy for me and faded to a brighter blue. I've never heard of the brand you mention though - I used a Scream dye from Sally's and it was rubbish so I never bothered again.

I googled it and it turns out it's a demi - which means it's mixed with peroxide. As your hair is already platinum, I wouldn't use anything with peroxide, that would just mean unnecessary damage. I'd go with a semi, which are technically conditioning treatments. I know Adore do a blue black too, and xxRaaxx's Blue Velvet suggestion sounds awesome as well!

Yeah, it's obviously aimed at people with lots of grey, so it would have to have peroxide in.

Thank you!!! Did you use the Blue Velvet on platinum? I want something very rich. Not super bright blue.

Thank you!!! I thought so but it seemed to be exactly what color I wanted. LOL!!! I think I will go with Blue Velvet and see how it goes 🙂

If it isn't dark enough add a blue black that has a blue fade, Stargazers is very blue and I think so is Adores blue black.

I used Blue Velvet over a darker base than yours (bleached to mid blonde) so perhaps you would be best adding a touch of Adore or Stargazer Blue Black to it to knock the blue back slightly?

I mix Blue Velvet with Directions Midnight Blue and got a deep, vivid blue-black.

That's so gorgeous, I am going to steal that idea for the winter.
