So this is my first ever post, as you can all see, i'm a newbie! *waves*

Anyway, so at the moment i've got quite Dark Brown hair, a 5/0 on a Kadus colour chart. and i was thinking in one of sides at front, just a small piece next to my ear or something, to colour it a deep blue ish colour and just wanted some tips on how to get there? Thanks!

Also if i've posted this in the wrong place, please feel free to move it to the right one!:)

First off: Is that your natural colour or is it dyed? What dye did you use?

You'll want to use a colour remover on the strip you want to dye blue to get rid of the artificial colour.  You can use these up to three times before they've done all they're going to do, and since you're not using your whole head, just buy one kit and mix equal parts in a separate container to apply to your hair.

After this, you need to leave it a week and wash it several times during that week to ensure all the remover residue is gone, or it could bring the old colour back.

You need to get it to a pale yellow (like the inside of a banana peel colour) before you apply the blue, so you'll probably need to do a low volume bleach or bleach bathe to lighten it.

Once you're at the inside of a banana peel colour, you can then apply the blue to freshly washed, unconditioned hair.  Let the blue stay on for hours.

If you add a slice under a layer of hair then you won't need to worry about root maintenance which is a bonus.
