I'm a newly qualified nurse and I'm working in a busy Accident and Emergency department. It's exhausting but the day goes fast. Sometimes I end up in tears because it's a really stressful environment and people expect us so much from us which is not always possible. I'm gonna stick it out for another 6 months though and if it gets too overwhelming I'll move into theatre recovery nursing, which is a lot less hectic!
What does everyone else here do and do you enjoy it/regret it?

I'd have to say, I don't envy you - it takes a strong person to work in A&E! It's great you have options though within your career.
We've got a thread going that you might find interesting called What does everyone do?... there seems to be quite a diverse skill set on this board!
