I am a web trafficker for a digital media group. My hair is usually some form of red, but i have been purple and black/turquoise and they were fine with it and my piercings.

Former military, currently I'm a supervisor at a big chain pet store. I take care of all the store animals which basically means I pick up poop and bag crickets all day. Technically we are not allowed to have unnatural hair color or fad hair cuts but the managers really don't care. I took a risk dying it so bright but everyone seems to love it (including the district manager). When I was in the Air Force I definitely couldn't do anything fun with my hair and it drove me nuts. Wound up collecting a lot of wigs.

When i was workin in recruitment agency i had poppy red everyone loved it (was face to face with public)
I then worked in a finance company where i was red also and went black and purple (could get away with it a lil more as it was in an office and never had customers in)
They didnt mind tattoos and piercings werent an issue either πŸ™‚

I work in a local dog rescue centre, love it so much although it isn't a very glamorous job. I did used to work in accounts but I really hated that!

Hmm well it says not to post after 30 days, I hope these kinds of topics are ok. (Since I couldn't make my own, hope I'm doing it right)

Anyway, I do sales, and I hate it. I have to wear a wig. It's a good wig but it is SO not me. Like not even a little. And for all those who don't know what they want to do yet, don't stress. I have this because I have to support my family and though it pays the bills I dread going out there (I do outside/field sales, the weather has been so nasty I almost quit a million times. Getting through each day is a challenge.  -r-) I want to do other things. Went to school for sociology.  But idk where I'll end up yet. Certainly not sales.

I had worked in drug stores before and had colored the front of my hair and peircings. They seemed ok with it and that was about 10+ years ago. I think the limitations on hair and body mods is so rediculous. It really has to change. Like I guess if you have really offensive face tattoos it's one thing, or if the job is very uniform, but for a lot of jobs they don't allow so many things that are tasteful and I think that's got to change.

I work for adult social care, quality checking care providers. People are amazingly non judgemental about my hair, piercings etc - I think they're secretly jealous that I've got the guts to do it! (And I'm including director level here!) They all know I work damn hard so as long as I'm not scruffy I just come across as 'unique', 'quirky' and 'interesting'. I can live with that!  πŸ˜›

I used to do this exact same job and it completely changed me, most depressing (and poorest) 6 months of my life, and I was a student for 4 years! I wouldn't have thought you'd need a wig though, isn't your hair a corally type colour? Hope you've had a better afternoon today if the weather has picked up where you are!
