I'm a civil servant.  I can do anything I want hair, piercing and tattoo wise, but have to wear 'smart' clothing.  However, I am also self-employed running an online alternative clothing shop, and hope to ditch the full time job soon to concentrate solely on the self-employment.

I'm a barmaid.  The regulars all try and guess which colour I'm going next.
You can tell when certain people are reaching their limit though because I usually get asked "Is that a new piercing?" when I have had the same ones since I started the job and haven't bothered to change my face jewellery for a couple of years.

I'm also a graphic designer, but I'm not client facing so no one gives a hoot.

I work in a Pharmacy Dispensary and have been pleasantly surprised at the reactions to my hair colours. My boss had no probs at all with them, and the customers either say they like it or take the mickey (in a nice way)! I think as long as you're still doing your job well people should have no reason to grumble πŸ™‚

Working at a industrial bakery, so haircolour and tattoos doesn't matter. My piercings had to go though πŸ™ Took out my septumjewellry the first day, and when I tried putting it back in after my 8hr shift, it had shrinked.. so no septumpiercing for me I guess.

I have no job, no education and no clue what to do with my life.
I am unable to hold a job, at times leave the house alone and for the life of me I can't figure out anything I would like to study even though once in a while an idea pops up but quickly dismissed.

Yup...... depressing.

Oh Aeryu, i know how you feel. i was in the care sector for nearly 10 years but almost 2 years ago i lost my job.  my mental health suffered greatly, i tried to go back to college but could not manage to do that or even hold down another job after that due to high level of anxiety. So now i am a stay at home wife with no direction!!

Heh πŸ™‚ You can say I am a stay-at-home-girlfriend/partner... lack of direction been accepted by my OH and family (not that it matters in another country) but I do hope to find some kind of a direction without getting bored, discouraged or anxious.

I'm a writer. I spend most of my time at home in threadbare leggings looking like I've been cobbled together at a jumble sale, so whatever I'm doing with my hair doesn't really matter. The only profession-related comments I've got were along the lines of 'yeah right, you expect me to believe a [publication] journalist has green hair?' πŸ˜€

I am in art school, majoring in photography. I have never had comments about my hair from clients I photograph. πŸ™‚ Which is awesome!

Work at the McDonald's, boss won't let us have unnatural colours... I study grime (so make-up, grime -special effects, characters etc- and hair), so hopefully I'll be my own boss someday.
