Right now I'm seriously considering swimming across the Atlantic and coming to your house for tea!!
Ha ha! C'mon over... I always make extra. π
Vegetarian tortillas with salsa, cucumber, bell peppers and feta cheese, yum! Also, I'll probably have some sweets later, my mum made a cake and I have loads of tasty stuff that I bought yesterday.
Edit: Even though it can be complicated, I just realized I love being a vegetarian, one of my best decisions π
That sounds good Naomi π
I had a chicken and mushroom lattice we got reduced (Β£1.40 from Β£3.50) but there was enough there for two days meals, so about Β£0.70 pence for that + some frozen peas and sweetcorn, probably 10p worth and a vegetable soup which I made 6 portions of for 25p ^.^
Love cheap food.. π
My "some sweets" thing might escalate...my mum bought christmas stuff (star shaped cinnamon cookies and gingerbread cake), chocolate-covered cornflakes, chocolate-covered marzipan and nougat o.o
we're having a naughty tea tonight because I've not had time to get any shopping in! So we're having chinese takeaway, I always have vegetable chow mein, yum. I'm treating myself cause I've been extra good with exercising every day so far π
We had lunch in my favourite pub today [the owner serenaded us with the Diff'rent Strokes theme tune while we ate! That aside, they always play ace tunes and their Stowford Press is the best I've tasted]; I had welsh rarebit with skinny fries so it's a meagre sandwich for dinner.
Tonight, we're having gammon, mash, broccoli and rolls, with chocolate fudge cake and ice cream for dessert.
Yum. Now I'm hungry again, LOL... I just had some leftover shepherd's pie from Sunday (it was scrumptious) for lunch. Chinese take-away sounds great... we don't have any good places in our new town to get it, sadly. π FizzWhiz, lunch at the pub sounds delish and fun!
CrazyBlueMe, what is gammon? I've not heard of it before... is it pork?
Tonight we're having baked macaroni and cheese with crumbled bacon and oven roasted broccoli with garlic and parmesan. The kids are cooking, so I'm off the hook! Woo hoo!
Gammon is a similar meat to bacon, kinda like.. pink rather than white once cooked, salty and yummy! So yes, pork, but not like pork chops π
Ooo, it sounds yummy!!! Here I think we called that salt-cured ham. π
AAAh, yeah, people might call a joint of gammon a joint of ham, they're a similar flavour - so probably π
it is nice though.. :3
as my boyfriend did the food shopping i have a choice of beans and sausages from a can, noodles or bacon. he didn't even have the foresight to get lettuce and tomatoes to facilitate a BLT. oh dear, silly moo.
I had tomato soup with chopped up ham. I love having soup when the weather is cold and wet.
I went to an all you can eat world buffet and stuffed my face, it was magical.
This thread makes me hungry! I have got a sick rat on my hands tonight so I had a 10 minute quorn lamb stir fry. In fairness, delicious.
