Also look in your local libraries for juicing books! I highly recommend Jason Vale's books - Juice Master Keeping It Simple: Over 100 Delicious Juices and Smoothies & The Funky Fresh Juice Book  πŸ™‚

I love beetroot in a juice! so tasty and very good for you. this is Joe Cross's Beet-Kale Juice.

Ingredients:
2 beets (beetroots)
4-6 kale leaves
2 oranges
1 lemon
1 carrot

Directions:

1.)    Peel orange and lemon for a less tart taste.

2.)    Wash beets and kale and chop all ingredients.

3.)    Add all ingredients through juicer and enjoy!

I bought myself a smoothie maker and had my first smoothie today.  The smoothie maker was only Β£9.99 from Robert Dyas, so I thought I'd go for it.  Didn't want to spend a huge amount on the machine just to try it!  So today I had: melon, spinach, blueberries, coconut water and half a teaspoon of spirulina powder.  It looks quite alarmingly bright green, but tasted quite nice!  I think I'll be having smoothies for breakfast, as I really don't like eating in the morning, so tend to skip breakfast, but this way I can just drink it instead.

I honestly couldn't tell you! There's so many things going on that I couldn't differentiate between the individual flavours, so I couldn't tell if it has a specific taste on it's own! It does turn the whole thing a dark blue/green colour though!

Flax can have a laxative effect, producing bloating, stomach ache and diarrhea if taken to excess--you might want to cut the amount you're using in half.

I make chocolate malts frequently (moreso during summer months). Fattening but oh so delicious!

1 1/2 oz chocolate syrup
3 scoops vanilla ice cream
5 1/2 oz cold milk shopping list
1 heaping tbsp malted milk powder (malt, not chocolate powder)
whipped cream, for topping (optional)

Place all ingredients in blender (except whipped cream) and blend until smooth.
Pour into a chilled tall glass and top with whipped cream. Voila!
