Between me and the OH we have:

Eden, a 2 year old Royal python (playing with the remains of our movie snacks)

Nero, a 1 year old dot-dash California kingsnake

And my baby Hex, a 9 month old Hognose

Oh my god they are so gorgeous! I've always wanted a snake, but my OH doesn't like them.

I wasn't sure at first, when Steve first got Eden, I was like "Christ she's gonna grow huge and eat us!" But she's lovely and I got used to her really quick, she's just so chill and cute and weird. Then we got Nero, he's less chilled, and a bit edgy, but he's too small to worry about getting bitten, so we got plenty time to calm him down. And then Steve bought me Hex for our anniversary and he is just the most adorable thing in the world, even though Hoggies are slightly venomous you wouldn't even have guessed from how sweet and playful he is. So yeah I've been fully converted 😀

Ahh I love hognose snakes, they always look so happy! I've always wanted one but know nothing about snakes so it wouldn't be wise!

RE: Degu

I believe they can be as tame as most rodenty things, unfortunately mine were older than usual when I bought them and never really let me try to tame them, so I gave up. They also like to be kept in pairs and they need big cages as they're jumpy! One of mine died but the other is fine on his own, in fact he got all cute and chubby because his brother used to dominate and never let him near the food! He's very cute and fluffy, but chews on the bars of his cage ALL THE TIME which gets tiring ;P

Love the pics of the snakes! I don't know if I could ever own one though. I think they are nice...but they creep me out a little bit...

I googled a degu so I could see what they look like. Very cute!

I have 2 labradors, a black one named Ronny who's 5 yet still thinks he's a puppy, who we got from a rescue centre and an 8 year old chocolate one named Holly, who's old before her time due to the abuse she received in her previous home 🙁

Hognose's are awesome, and royals always look lovely.
When i finish uni I shall get snakes back, I'd love a carpet python as the colours are amazing and I'd love a hognose as they do look like they got mega grin which is too cute.

For me size is an issue, not that i dont have space its that i only want the larger ones now as since i was 10 I have had all sorts of snakes garters corn up to my boa but the smaller breeds and the more common house pet snakes are becoming a lil bit boring and with my animal care and working in a reptils zoo i kinda just want to own something bit more... whats the word... less amateur more pro pet... does that make sense lol

I was all about snakes when i was younger, had tree frogs geckos salamanders house lizards anoules but snakes was my big pet love, now ive gotten older I've actually find myself lean more towards lizards and in perticular monitors, I havent seen a monitor breed yet that i havent thrown a paddy over to let me take it home.
I also big fan of croc caiman and aligators, I really cant wait to get just one caiman or something when im older, and when there young there sooooo amazingly cute.

Anyone else a croc fan but cant have due to size money and care for there life, you may love these (as i reallllllly love them)

These are red eyed croc skinks.
Small, have armor and soooo cute!

Their armour is awesome, like teeny tiny dragons! I'd love reptiles but don't have the time to look after them.

I am now minus one degu 🙁 He died on tuesday night of old age. RIP my little fur baby<3

I really want another cat.. but my parents are the inbetween stage on deciding whether they want another one.. but at the same time i dont want them to think im over losing Sparkle, and that im being disrespectful for wanting another one so quickly >.<

so i might just bring home a kitten and see what they say xP

Aww, my mum was worried as i lost my first cat chilli late november and Everyone in the house had a cat to themselves and I didnt anymore and this cat chilli was my soul mate in cat form, lived at the time in the countryside no other kids my age, but this cat would play with me everyday for hours, and he used to walk down the long dirttrack to where id catch the school bus and when i come home he'd be waiting there for me too. anyways
mum was out xmas shopping and getting the cats some toys ina pet shop she saw, on xmas eve one grey tabby kitten by himself, and she said she cried thinking he be by himself on xmas and he was our first ever and only so far bought cat, she brought him home and said sonny, i got you something and in no way is this a replacement for chilli then his head popped out of her coat and i was like ZOMG!!!

much love to him, hes awesome, and in no way was he a replacement coz even if he acted the same as chilli hes wasnt him, plus chilli was ginger! lol but solomon the grey tabby is an awesome cat ad glad mum got him.

I never made that connection Matty!

Also I want those croc skinks They are the cutest EVER!

I used to have Degus, for rodents they're quite complicated to care for.  Very sweet though.
I've never owned a reptile my whole life, but my mum is getting a snake next year (we've had to wait until my brother is old enough to not be a complete idiot and have decided 10 is the age where he should definitely know better, and I can kick his ass if he's bad haha!)
