When we re-homed her we thought she was and then we gave her a proper brush and she seems to just have a short coat that feels like long haired, does that make any sense? It's not like the coarse short coat you can get on a German Shepherd and it does hang lower than her belly but its still shorter than a long haired coat lol
My last shepherd had that kind of coat, mid length but a mega thick undercoat. You could pluck her when it was moulting season lol.
I rescued Gunner almost 18 months ago and he's only just starting to accept grooming. Honestly you'd think he was being murdered when the brushes come out!
I have Tara, aged 14 and deaf Yorkie, Kady, aged 2 Chorkie (yorkie/chihuahua cross). I also have two fish tanks, one with live bearers, bristlenoses and corys. The other is for babies, shrimp and snails.
Got two new Yellow Rabbit Snails a couple of days ago and already love these wee guys. The one in the pic is called Haggis π
Haggis looks like such a little dude!!
Yeah bell's undercoat was like that when we brought her home, we thought she was ill because of how it looked and took her to the vets but it went away with a good old groom but she's not keen on it either ;p
New addition to my zoo π
Her name is Honey and she was rescued from a puppy farm - she is 3-4 and already had 7 litters!! Vet said she is emaciated, bad teeth, internal organs dropped, skin infection, possible kidney infection, blood in urine etc. It's gonna take a lot of work and time to get her back to health but at least she now has her new safe forever home and DEF no more babies for her!
You can't tell from the pic but she is a U shape as entire back, spine, ribs all clearly visible, she's lost a lot of hair and generally a poorly wee lass who's not had a great start in life. But having said all that she is the sweetest natured dog ever and very trusting of people and other animals. very curious and follows me all over the house to get her ears constantly tickled. Her tail always wagging at 100% π
she looks like such a cutie!!
I've got an insane border collie called Blue, who is very intelligent but daft as a brush. Gizmo the cat who we rescued aged 2 while pregnant with her 2nd litter - she had only weaned the 1st litter a week before we picked her up. George the rabbit who lives outside in a frankly palatial hutch. And several tropical fish.
The pic is of Blue and Gizmo (who do Tom & Jerry routines round the house when they think we can see them, but when we're out and sneak back in on them have found them like this...)
Iv got an american akita cross rottwieler (rokita) shes beautiful!
Shes placid as anything and the most dopiest dog you will ever meet lol
Shes walked into the back end of a black car even though shes blatantly seen it haha shes lovely would be completely lost without her π to be honest me and my fella would be lost without her lol x shes our baby π x

She's beautiful. I love borders; they're fantastic dogs. My family had one for 15 1/2 years (she passed away this winter).
