What are the care instructions like for Hedgehogs?
basically they're fairly easy to look after. the biggest things to bare in mind a) they're nocturnal, so if you work days hen they're really not the pet for you. also they're not very kiddy friendly what with being nocturnal & being prickly =)
a varied diet inclusive of meal worms, which the hear. cat food, boiled eggs & some veggies. every bushpig is different, so it's pot luck with finding one you get along with. we wanted a very sociable piggy. how they've been brought up will help. you have to handle them for atleast an hour a night, any more is obvs better =)
they also poop alot! so you need to keep there feets clean. also have to be careful with cages as they can catch feet in the wire =(
there's alot of conficting advice online which doesnt help, but we've been researching on & off for 2years, but once we have her i'll upload/pm you more advie if you like?
last but not least they're warm blooded animals & must be kept at 26degrees. if they get cold then they hibernate, then will die.

She's so so so so cute Pippa!!! The OH and I really want a hedgie at some point but we can't afford the heating bill at the moment, and since I'm moving around quite a bit for my education for the next few years now isn't a great time. Please please post loads of pictures of her perfect tiny face?! :'3
Thought I'd share a new picture of Pringle, since she was in a bit of a state when I got her and has now grown into a super pretty little lady! She has such a smiley face all the time too!
