packing for vacation

So my wife and I are headed to the beach for vacation this weekend, and being the OCD person that I am I made a list of everything we need to pack. Mind you we are 2 women also taking our 8 month old puppy who is in training to be my wifes service dog (she has seizures), so needless to say we pack a lot of stuff! So anyways I always make a list and no matter how hard I plan, I always forget something, whether it be a toothbrush or hair paste, its inevitable. So with this trip I am determined to not forget anything! My question for you guys is what have you forgotten to bring on vacation and regretted? I'm hoping that by seeing some responses I will not forget anything!!

Aw you've probably gone by now, so hope you're having a great time and didn't forget anything!

I love making my holiday packing lists, I start them weeks in advance! I even draw my outfits for each day so I can visualise what makeup and accessories to take - I realise that means I am a crazy person, but it's all part of the fun of the holiday for me!

I never really forget anything, but I did regret it when I went to Germany last year and I was going to pack some strong painkillers I had left over from when I injured my back just in case but at the last minute I took them out of my bag and left them behind then on the first day of the trip I fell and tore all the ligaments in my ankle - I really wished I'd left those painkillers in my bag!!

Omg!!! that's terrible, I would've been a bear to live with if that had happened to me.

Luckily, I did not forget anything!! I was actually amazed! But we are back home for 4 days because I have to work and couldn't get enough vacay time, so we will be going back to the shore house Friday night, so heres hoping round 2 goes as well as this past weekend!!

Agh it was the worst, we were travelling across Germany too so we had all our trains and hotels booked so I didn't have long enough in any one place to go to the hospital so I just strapped it up and hobbled around for the week - when I got home the doctor at my local hospital shouted at me for walking on it! I really felt like I'd ruined the holiday for my boyfriend, I felt so sorry for him having to look after me!
That's a shame that you had to work, but good that you get to go back there for the weekend, hope you have a great time!

thank you! Oh I'm sure your doctor wasn't happy, I remember one time back in school that I jumped off the swing set and broke my arm, but nobody believed me that it was broken (I was 5 at the time). So my teacher put me in the corner for jumping off the swing and told my I just had a bruise. So by the time my parents realized I wasn't faking and that something was truly wrong, it was 3 days later and my arm was 3x the size! Needless to say my parents got a lot of dirty looks from the doctor and almost had to deal with social services, it was a mess!

Oh dear! When I was about 21 I broke my wrist and after the cast came off and they x-rayed it to find out if it was healed the doctor said to me "the new break is fine, but do you ever get pain from the older fracture, it looks like it wasn't set properly" and my mum told him I'd never broken it before, he insisted I had and when we got home I had to admit to my mum that when I was about 8 I slipped in some high heel boots she'd told me I wasn't allowed to have (that I persuaded Granny to buy me!) on my way to my cousin's birthday party and because I didn't want to miss out on cake I didn't tell anyone, then I didn't want to get in trouble for lying so I just kept it a secret for weeks with my wrist in pain. We dug out the photos from said party and sure enough on all of them I was white as a ghost and clutching my wrist!

Oh wow, that is crazy! That must've been tough being so young and hiding a broken wrist! I think we have all hid something from our parents, but I can't say I ever hid a broken bone, lol.

I think I must have quite a high pain threshold as I also have a problem with one of my feet that stems from a fractured metatarsal I didn't have looked at a few years ago! I hate going to the doctor or hospital if I can help it so I tend to put up with stuff! But for some reason I go into shock super easily and faint when I get an injury, even when I don't really feel the pain.
