I get what you mean, I finished it yesterday and I can't really remember much of what went on, but I'm glad I made my peace with it and actually enjoyed it this time around!
I've only just started to be able to watch true life crime stuff again, it used to really trigger me coz of my ex and stuff but ever since I listened to Serial, and then Stranglers I'm really interested in it again. We started watching that Killing for Love that was on BBC Four last night, we put it on as something to have on in the background but then ended up really engrossed in it! I agree that it makes me feel a bit weird and seedy watching stuff like that, but it is interesting to see that things like that go on, it gives you an insight into just how strange some people's minds are.
Aw love, it's not silly at all. I've heard it's starting in May but not sure how true that is. I really hope he's able to watch it. I hope it's as good as it should be too.
Yay for the new season of Orange is the New Black starting today! I've watched the first two episodes and it is great!
So excited for it!
Glow! I watched only the first episode so far but loving it
I started watching Glow today, it does seem like it'll be really good! I really like Marc Maron and Alison Brie anyway.
Glow is the one in which they are girl wrestlers, right? How many episodes are there in one season?
I've not watched it yet, but it looks like 10.
That's the one, about the lady wrestlers. I think it was 10 episodes yeah. I thought it lost it's way a little bit at one point but by the end I was really enjoying it again.
I was thinking that the 'British' girl had such a fake, rubbish accent for ages til I realised it was Kate Nash!
haha I thought that too and then it clicked it was her.
I loved it, agree that it got a tad lost a few episodes in middle but once they were actually really trying to wrestle it was way more fun and interesting
I ended up watching the whole thing over 2 days as I discovered it when I was of work ill! I finally got around to finishing the new season of Kimmy Schmitt too, which I thought was just as funny as ever!
For anybody who likes anime Castlevanie on Netflix has been getting some rave reviews. Havent watched it but am excited as it is already renewed for Season 2.
We binged Glow over a couple of evenings. Yep, I concur, really good!
I'm just watching Castlevania now, it's awesome! Really exciting (and gruesome!)
I'm trying to get my OH to watch Glow, I'd happily rewatch it
I've not watched all that much on Netflix recently. Got too many others things on other services I'm watching!
We watched a Korean film the other night on Amazon. Train to Busan. Really good zombie movie!
Other than that, we've been working through a box set of Dynasty. I got this urge to watch it again about 6 months ago and we binge watch a few episodes over a few days, then give it a weeks rest. We're on season 6 and it's everything I remember and love. Expect a lot more rapey than I remember... like, literally almost every man has raped or attempted rape someone! Sadly I think it's just old tv/movies. It has peaked at season 5 though. It might well start to get tough going now.
Hahah it does seem things were waaaaay more rapey on tv in those days! I was really surprised going back watching Jem and the Holograms, how Rio is basically cheating on her with her alter ego and she's the one who keeps going on about what a bad person she is for not telling him that both girls are her! Not great role model behaviour!
