"Run Lillian!" Haha x
: D I nearly wet myself the other night when Tituss was calling construction workers 'contraption workers'.
Janine, I can see how Kimmy could be irritating - I've basically told my boyfriend not to bother with it as I know she'd bug him too, I think I mostly kind of find it funny coz I'm a bit stuck in the 90's like her myself haha! It's never occurred to me that she's that girl out of The Office though! I do this all the time, If I really believe in a character it just doesn't occur to me that they're the same actor when I see them in something else!
That documentary sounds good - I'll add it to my list of things to watch! (I'm starting a list in my diary of things to watch, read and listen to coz get so many good suggestions from people then when it comes to it I can never think what they were!)
She was the one that played the replacement receptionist for Pam (still want to call her Dawn due to the UK one, had to look up her name in the US one!). I have horrible facial recognition, but I've forced myself to really concentrate on little details that give people away. I'm better with actors than people I know well, so I always 'fail' tests that measure facial recognition! lol I used to work in Soho and I saw a lot of famous people walking around because of the ADR units there. I know that I didn't recognise loads of them though, when I was walking with a colleague we apparently walked past 2 or 3 actors and I had no idea!
I'm literally just starting to watch Spooks on Netflix. As in, in the middle of writing this post I put the first episode on! I didn't watch it when it was on originally because I didn't have a TV when it started. I've always heard it's good, so lets see!
Yeah now you say it I completely recognise her - but it didn't even occur to me that I'd seen her before! I'd make a terrible detective - I was saying to my boyfriend yesterday that I'd probably fall for Superman's disguise - I'm surprised I don't think there's a stranger in the house when he takes his glasses off! I'm terrible with anything to do with recognising patterns in things, even like puns or anagrams - I struggle connecting things that I see as different to each other. Apparently it's to do with me having Dyspraxia, or so I was told at Uni.
Ah yes, now you say that I remember reading something like that about Dyspraxia once.
I think I might be a bit bored with Spooks already, 3 episodes in. It's quite good, but it's not something I can watch while working, I just don't concentrate enough. At the risk of sounding terrible, a lot of US TV is good for that because they're either so silly or not a lot actually happens when you boil it down!
Might give something else a go until I'm doing something which means I can concentrate more!
Finally, new always sunny in Philadelphia! Apparently they thought it was going to be cancelled so the series is kinda nuts. It's very funny so far though (6 episodes in).
I can't seem to get into Always Sunny, I've tried a couple of times but it never grabs me - all my friends love it!
I've started watching Bojack Horseman, I absolutely love it, it's in no way what I thought it would be!
Yeah, bojack is great π
Sunny definitely isn't for everyone and sometimes the jokes make me squirm a little, but I do love it! As this thread shows, there's definitely a lot of stuff everyone else loves and I just don't get lol
Yeah it's weird isn't it, even amongst my friends where we all have similar tastes in other things I just can't get on board with Always Sunny, but then they can't get into Arrested Development which might be my favourite show of all time!
Ah, now, Arrested Development I introduced SO many people to when I first saw it! Even years later I was introducing people to it. My boyfriend that I met in 2006 I made watch it and he loved it. Then he introduced his friend to it and he LOVED it beyond all reason lol I LOVE it. Definitely one of my all times and I even loved the Netflix series that many were so meh about!
I really liked that last Netflix one too, my fella didn't like it at all but I thought it was really clever!
I finally got my mum to watch it after years of trying to persuade her and she's ended up watching it right the way through 3 times in a row (plus she's started calling my youngest brother who lives at home 'Buster' and started replying to my texts with 'I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it!' which is fine as my brother and I have been calling her Lucille for years).
Arrested Development and Spaced are my all time favourite comedies, I can't count how many times I've watched them.
I've been watching Between. Ehhh, it's ok, I really liked it at first, I like the idea of it but the characters aren't very deep and I've finished the whole first season and barely remember anyone's names. There's also things that annoy me, like, they have no food or supplies now, but the main character managed to have her hair dyed a perfect blonde, and cut and styled by season 2. But I'm gonna stick with it and see where the show goes!
So excited to see that the gilmore girls have been added to netflix!
See that thing with the character's hairdo, that's one of those things I wouldn't be able to get past and it'd really bug me (even though my favourite show is Once Upon a Time and I never question how Snow White gets her false eyelashes when she's on the run in a medieval forest!)
I just finished Lady Dynamite, weird as but really, really funny!
I started to watch that between programme because I couldn't remember if id watched it. I had. Or some of it anyway. Yeah, big meh from me. Just isn't very interesting and, really, another teenage survival thing? To the extreme where anyone over 21(?) has died? I love disaster things, but they're ruining them for me π
I've just finished watching Stranger Things. It's so good! I loved every episode.
Oh god I loved Stranger Things!! Eleven is my hero at the moment, and the soundtrack was incredible!
