Sorry if this is already been done, but just wondering what everyones morning beauty regime is?
Mine is usually, when I wake up (I suffer from mental health issues and have done since childhood....medication make me sleep so deep a heard of wild elephants couldn't wake me up). I get up, reach for my dressing gown, brush my teeth, decide in state of hair (to try and keep colour lasting as long as possible). Then take a body shower (including shaving). When I get out, I wash my face, clean ears, use toner and deoderant.
If necessary....I towel dye my hair before brushing it with this AMAZING hairbrush my gran got me for christmas....then I spray some tresseme heat defence spray on my hair before blow drying and straightening.
Then the makeup ::)
Does anyone have any products in their regime that they would like to reccomend?? Will be making some personal reccomendations myself at some point 🙂
I don't really have a routine anymore! I work for myself from home so things get done as I remember to do them lol
I used to wash my hair once a week on my day off as it takes about 7 hours to dry and I try to just let it dry naturally. Though that was spoilt when I had an horrendous hair cut last year and I had to start straightening it again. This has caused a lot of breakage again which is annoying. You might want to think about other ways of drying your hair, bleaching and straightening isn't a good mix. And in all honesty, heat defence sprays appear to be a bit of a con.
I don't really use toners on my face or anything like that. I just use facial wipes to clean off make up and leave it. I'm a bit boring really 🙂
Unfortunately, I wasn't blessed with good skin...although it has helped moving to Johnsons cleansing wipes. They red a god send. Another great invention was the blending sponge.....do you use them?? 27 and I. Am still blooming learning!!!
My morning routine pretty much is putting on clothes, detangling my hair and brushing my teeth.
I tend to do my (very minimal) beauty routine in the evening. I wash my face with soap or just plain water and use oils to moisturise.
If I have been wearing make up i remove it with coconut oil
I wash my hair about once a week, conditioner only. I then add coconut oil and let it dry naturally. I brush it through and twist it whilst wet if i want it straighter, I just let it do it's thing if I don't mind it being curly. When dry I add more oils.
That's it, I am very low maintenance lol
@ Wicked Pixie - I love your username and hair colour!
Come on, you must have something in your beauty regime you can live without??
I really don't use a lot of products. I love my oils; coconut, argan oil, avocado, hemp are my favourites. The only other thing I put on my face is sunblock.
I think not getting in the vicious circle of covering bad skin with lots of products and then using even harsher products to remove them, which then makes skin worse is why I have such good skin.
I used to use all sorts of things when i was younger, I used to be a make up artist so tried everything out. For me, the minimal routine I use now works best. I have better skin now in my mid forties than I did when i was in my twenties.

I have never actually used coconut oil? Is it any good? What does it do to the hair that is so outstanding (pardon for sounding abrupt). Honestly, me without makeup is an embarassment! You are so lucky.
Have you tried giving up the make up, letting your skin breathe and only using natural products? It also helps to live a healthy lifestyle, you can't have good skin if you smoke, don't get enough sleep or exercise and only eat junk.
So I really don't think it is luck, i was caught in that vicious cycle for years but making the above changes made a huge difference. I don't look my age, but both my sisters (including the one who is three years younger than me) have a lot of wrinkles. They use traditional products.
Coconut oil is great for hair. It can be absorbed rather than just coating the outside like some oils, and helps to prevent protein loss. It stops my hair looking poofy and frizzy and adds shine. I prefer argan oil for making my hair feel really silky, but it doesn't help with shaping my curls like coconut oil does.

Believe it or not, I have tried 80% with no avail. Without makeup, I have open pores, black heads, spots....it's horrible. I only use johnstone baby wipes in morning/at night. I only put make up on if I to, exercise (boxing bag indoors), drinking more water, fruit...veg....you need it.
About once a month I put a facemask one which includess apple cider vinegar.
I drag myself out of bed, shower, brush my teeth, moisturize my face with Aveeno cream and prime for make up with Nivea Mens Aftershave Balm. Then makeup, blow dry my hair and get dressed.
I watch people on youtube with crazy long skin care routines and never understand how they have the time! 😮

You are a very pretty girl! Don't think I would have the balls to moisturize again without cleansing....brought me out in spots.
Mine varies so much! I work from home too and I'm a painter so I am guaranteed to be covered in all sorts of splashes and spills by the end of the day so on a week day it's just a shower, brushed teeth and hair up in a topknot then a pair of leggings and a tshirt! On a day off I really treat myself though and go for full makeup and a dress usually, just because I enjoy doing it and it's nice to remember what I look like dressed up once in a while.
I wash my hair about every 3 days (otherwise it gets itchy!), moisturise when it needs it (prob every other day) and cleanse with face wipes or a face wash in the shower (the biore charcoal one is awesome for spot outbreaks!).
Products I couldn't live without... coconut oil (for hair, dry skin, lips, anything!), Lush Celestial moisturiser, mac ruby woo lipstick, maybelline 24 hr gel eyeliner and illamasqua gel sculpt!
I don't tend to heat style my hair other than an occasional quick blow dry if I need it dry in a hurry, I mainly style it by setting it in pins or wrapping it with scarves so it dries in place.
I forgot to add that i exfoliate too, maybe once every 6 weeks. I like coffee grounds for my body (great for cellulite) I vary what I use on my face, salt, sugar, oats, baking soda, nutmeg etc mixed with honey, yogurt, coconut oil etc depending on the season and how my skin looks, but always natural stuff i make myself
Ooh, you've now inspired me to make my own exfoliating stuff!
Go for it, its cheap, fun and you can customise the ingredients to suit your skin.
