Does anyone else base their clothing choices on their hair colour? I do, but it seems silly to me, as i might decide to change my colour soon- then what'll i do?!!! haha
That's why you learn to stop doing it if you change colour a lot! I tend to not wear anything that clashes in a bad way, but I mostly just wear what colour I fancy π
I tend to wear a silly amount of colours so I'm usually not too bothered apart from the fact that I tend not to wear a top the same colour as my hair.
yeah, i guess i'm having a hard time working out what doesn't clash, so its easier to coordinate, if you know what i mean?
I really like red, but i just don't think it'll go with my hair, then i found myself last night thinking about how i could put a bit of red in my hair!!
I keep saying to myself, just act as though i have a neutral hair colour & buy what i like. i find it quite hard to find clothes i like, that fit, that suit me and are my style, so making colour a consideration makes it even harder!
I know exactly what you mean, when I worry about my hair clashing with my clothes it does make me uncomfortable. That's why I just dress like a rainbow and hope for the best!
I think it's easiest just to pretend your hair is neutral
And wear what you want. As long as the colour of your hair and clothes together doesn't actually offend your eyes then you're probably fine π
Also, I didn't think I could wear red with pink hair, but I had a red dress that I really liked and wore it anyway and it looked fine.
I wear red with pink hair! I wear tons of red with pink hair! I looooove pink and bright red π It goes amazingly. Well, I think it does...
What works best with pink...
Most shades of green, most shades of blue and so obviously turquoise. I think red, especially pink reds. Bright oranges, but even a rusty or burnt orange. Brown. Yellow.
The only thing that's not going to be so great with that colour is muted muddy colours (apart from the oranges) and corals. However, your necklace in the photo being a sage green, which is on the muddier side, looks beautiful with the pink. It's all about putting it on and seeing, you can be surprised very often.
Do it.
Sometimes it doesn't really matter about what you "know". I did fashion design and I still find colour combination that surprise me π
That dress is gorgeous! You should definitely get it π
I actually really hate it if my clothes and my hair match, and get irrationally angry if people point it out! I purposefully try not to wear bright pink at the moment, and am pleased I can now wear my favourite purple top again.
Janine I am about to knit a turquoise shrug with an orange border. I lurve clashing colours π
Haha Tabatha!
I am getting into clashing colours and patterns more now but the rest of my life I've always felt the need to coordinate, to the extent that once i couldn't wear my school uniform because our washing machine broke with it inside, so i wore brown trousers and brown patterned shirt and a brown jumper over. A girl i didn't get on with said i looked like a poo!!! LOL

That sounds amazing!
I've been looking for knitted hats for winter as my hair is even shorter now (had it cut this morning, I'll photograph later). I can't find many that are bright enough or clashing enough lol I want something with SO many colours it'll go with everything. I'd love to knit or crochet some but I don't have the time!
It is difficult to break the habit, but it's not so much moving away from coordination, it's more a move to a different kind of coordination. Kind of... lol
Janine, I have the same problem! I can never find a bright enough hat. Eventually I got my amazing aunt to crochet one for me.
Also I can't wait to see your hair, you always have incredible styles.
I do. it's a nightmare. i seem to live in black and blues, and touches of pink. You won't find me wearing red though, its banished from my drawers and I only have one red cardigan from Amy Winehouse/Fred Perry collection that I dont have the heart to throw, but will never wear.
My wardrobe is seriously boring right now, its killing me

How long have you been pink? & do you have any plans to change?
