Iv had REALLY bad experiences with Redken but I'm sure others have had success with it, nothing beats kpak IMO though
I got my K-Pak in the mail and tried it for the first time yesterday... I'm amazed! My hair hasn't been this soft in ages π and the smell is YUM! Definitely getting some more Joico products now π
I find the re-constructor to be a bit naff but the hydrator is AMAZING! My hair feels so soft after it π
I bought some of the Joico k-pak reconstructor, and to be honest, I don't find that it works any better on my hair than Osmo Intensive Deep Repair, which is only Β£2.99 plus postage costs. I can't justify spending nearly Β£15 on a reconstructor which isn't any better on my hair than the osmo one. They're actually freakishly similar! The texture is exactly the same, and the smell is only slightly different, so I guess they must have some of the same ingredients in them.
Thanks for that! I've heard everybody raving about the Joico and wanted to try it but think I will go with your suggestion first π
I bought some of this wonder product a little while ago, but I've had to wait to use it while I tried to put some moisture back in my hair. I was wondering if I have to use a clarifying shampoo or is my regular shampoo ok? At the moment I'm using L'OrΓ©al Professionnel Silver Shampoo.
Any shampoo is fine.
Thank you π
Can I just say...wow! My hair is soft! It feels like hair! *yay* I washed my hair with my toning shampoo, put joico on for 5 minutes (just the lengths), rinsed off, put it on again for 5 minutes and rinsed then put on my dark&lovely mask, left it for 15 minutes-ish before rinsing, and what a result! I was worried for a while, my hair felt only slightly less gummy after rinsing off the joico, but after rinsing the deep conditioner off it was definately less gummy! I'm so happy and I can't stop touching my hair and even made my mum touch it *rofl* but I think my hair still needs more. Is it ok to leave this is slightly longer next time?
it os. but too much protein is just as bad as not enough. how gummy are you out of 1-10. i have left it on over night a few times when i melted my hair. now a days i tend to have 30mins-2hours appprox
can some 1 give me a link to where i can get k pak, i dont trust e bay for this kinda stuff, cheap as poss pls and fast deliverey
To anyone who currently has a bottle of K-Pak, could I beg you to post the ingredients list? Pretty please :D?
Aqua, Stearmidopropyl, Dimethylamine, Paraffinium liquidum, Glycol Stearate, PEG-8 Disterate, Ceteth-2, Sodium Chloride, Hydrolyzed Keratin (Quadramine Complex), Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl Hydrolyzed Keratin, Myristyl Myristate, Citric Acid, Parfum, Sorbic Acid, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Yeast Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Methylparaben, Proplyparaben, Benzyl Alcohol, Coumarin, Limonene.
Phew what a list!
I have used the k pack a couple times, I do not prefer the smell, reminds me of some kind of banana medicine :p but I do love the results π
It smells exactly like amoxicillin to me! One sniff and I was transported through time, back to being five years old with an ear infection π
i went on amazon to buy some today but was freaked out by some of the reviews that said they had not gotten the "real" stuff. Any advice? I want it so bad but don't want to get some crappy product instead π
My sister got this from feelunique for her over-processed hair and it didn't do much for her, she said 3mm was 'okay' too. I've never used them because my hair isn't fried at the moment but the amount you guys rave about these products has me confused as to why these didn't do much for her?? I am aware of needing a balance of protein and moisture in hair for it to be healthy so I would have thought the use of 3mm and joico k-pak would have done something.
It depends on several factors. If her hair was completely and utterly fried, then there is a point of no return and even protein treatments can't do anything for it. If hair is badly damaged and stretchy when wet, but not so far gone that it's started snapping, then Joico can help. Worse than that, and it can't do much--the hair is just too far gone.
Additionally, 3MM is basically smothering the hair with silicones. It can't actually improve the moisture condition of the hair. Joico's Intense Hydrator, however, while it has a cone, is chemically formulated to draw moisture into the hair and keep it there, as opposed to sealing the hair in plastic like 3MM so it feels better, but it isn't actually better.
And neither of these treatments will bring hair back to how it was. They can help strengthen the hair enough so it doesn't weaken further and snap off while growing out the damage, but they can't restore it to its original state.
