You need to complain to customs. You shouldn't be charged for anything from the EU and it's nothing to do with the company, it's an error on customs part.

Hmm, I don't know, I know there's usually lots of restrictions on beauty products ( a lot of marketplace companies on Amazon will not deliver beauty products such as shampoo, hair dye, etc, outside of the UK, go figure ) so it didn't seem that odd to me and I just paid what was asked on the spot. :S

Also my order's been sent from the isle of Jersey apparently, not the mainland, so maybe customs are different? Not sure, anyway, didn't want to give the company a bad name, everything else went well, delivery was fast, good customer service etc... Might look to amazon when I get a litre bottle of the reconstructor though!

Ok, Jersey isn't a state of the EU, so yeah it's different πŸ™‚ Shame because it's a British Crown dependency and uses the pound!

Aaah, there's our answer! πŸ™‚ Thanks, wasn't aware that Jersey wasn't technically part of EU, strange!

Although the shipping costs that I originally paid for on the website were exceptionally low, around 3 euros, and it's usually closer to 20 euros, so I guess it isn't that bad of a deal money wise! πŸ™‚

EDIT: after seeing all well these products work, I decided to order litre bottles and so looked for them on Amazon.co.uk. I ordered them from a sub-company called Bath & Unwind, they offer really good prices but most importantly, it was delivered merely 2 days after I ordered ( estimated delivery date was still another week from today and my products just arrived this morning! ), and I'm not even in the UK. My mind is blown so I thought I would share! πŸ™‚

Quick question about this stuff: since being told about this product I've discovered a lot of people using it haha, but the order they use it always seems to differ.. I'm just wondering do you guys use k pak, shampoo then condition or shampoo then k pak and then condition? Or another way? This sort of thing wouldn't normally puzzle Me but hearing people using it in different orders is making me wonder if it's more beneficial one way? Does that even make sense lol? I've used it twice now, my hair is still gummy when wet but not as bad, and I can actually brush it wet now which is amazing because my hairs quite curly so even before my bleach fiasco brushing it was a chore πŸ™‚

I think it's personal preference. I apply to dry hair, then conditioner only wash. Some shampoo then kpak. as long as you deep condition after you'll br fine πŸ™‚

also you should never brush when wet. It's SO bad for your poor hair. use a wide tooth comb instead.

Does anyone rate the shampoo and conditioner from Joico? I've got the reconstructor ready to use tonight I was just wondering if their shampoo and conditioner was nice/good as well if I switched to those

Firstly, I admit to not having used them. I generally don't think it's worth splashing out on expensive shampoos and conditioners though.

I actually do find their shampoo and conditioner agreeable and don't mind paying extra for them - although I can shop through the wholesalers, so I get a little bit of a discount.  Before I was brightly coloured, that's all I used to use!  I don't use the regular K-Pak shampoo anymore as it contains sulphates and so it strips my colour.  I have used their Colour Endure line which has a sulphate free shampoo and conditioner, but I have found that I actually prefer co washing and use Tresseme Naturals for that.  I won't be without the Intense Hydrator, though!  πŸ˜€

Bath and Unwind have joico on 3 for 2 and I was wondering...if my hair is a LITTLE bit dry but not stretchy anymore would I need more re-constructor or hydrator?

You'll need both.  The reconstructor adds back lost protein, and the hydrator adds back lost moisture.  If you do protein without moisture, you may find that your hair goes brittle.
