My hair gets incredibly flat, but it's also very fine, so is prone to flying away going all over the place!!! -r-
I'm currently using Superdrugs own Gel Spray and Matt Paste, mainly because they're animal friendly and cheaper than most things! The Gel Spray is really rather strong and holds my hair well whilst the Matt Paste gives a bit of texture and volume.
I would like to find something more nourishing or strong hold without drying out my hair as the Gel Spray does make my hair rather...crispy π
I can't use hairspray (I'm allergic to something in it, not sure what, but something) so I'm always looking for something to help keep my hair in place.
Anyone got any recommendations or are you in love with certain products that keep your hair well behaved? π
My hair is a true enigma; sometimes it's lovely, sometimes flat and lifeless, and sometimes it goes massive and I look like I'm a member of Motley Crue. When the latter happens, or if I have general frizz or random sticky-up bits, I use a teensy bit of this Aussie serum:

It straightens it all out and makes it lovely and shiny, and keeps the ends of my hair from getting too dry as a bonus. You really only need to use a very small amount as too much makes hair look a bit greasy. This means it lasts ages and ends up being pretty good value for money though!
I always use a little of this on the ends of my hair once I've dried it, I find it helps stop it looking so fluffy, as my hair is quite fine. Leaves my hair lovely and glossy, with no fly aways! And you only need a tiny bit, so it lasts for ages π

i use aussie take the heat protection cream(although i think i want to change to a different one) and l'oreal mythic oil. which is the dogs you know what, cats pyjamas and well....bloomin' amazing!
the only product I use is this sticky powder volumizer from got2b. it smooths down my hair really well when it's dry and I also put it on damp hair as a blow dry protectant every once in a while, I never actually use it for volumizing π it's a little strange, I originally thought I was buying a dry shampoo but what it actually is works too.
Since giving up straightening my hair I've had to change my styling products to cater for my curls!
I currently use frizz-ease extra strength serum whilst my hair's still soaking wet, then I use VO5 miracle concentrate, follwed by k-pak split end serum, tigi rockaholic smoothing serum and lee stafford matt style cashmere cushion which I'm running out of and am not looking forward to spending Β£10 on replacing it! Boots Essentials extra firm styling gel - the purple one in a tub - is super cheap, water-based and alcohol-free so does not dry hair or build up. If you use a fair bit it can go crunchy while hair is air drying then miraculously soft once it is fully dry! I also found quitting sulphate shampoos stopped my hair being so fluffy/ poofy.
Mythic oil, Tigi Some like it Hot heat and humidity serum, Label M Hair Polish, and Elnett hairspray.
i use a leave in conditioner so that they are soft and then some hair mousse for curly hair and let it air dry that's about it, i can't bother π lol
Jonn Freda heat protecting spray and or serum on the ends. Seems to be working pretty well!
i use talcum powder for volume ( also works as a dry shampoo, my mom taught me that π )
and loreal leave in conditioning spay. I used to use V05 surf style products for texture and hold. but now i just use elnett
I second the got2b volumising powder. I sprinkle it on, then put my hair where I want it and it stays there π
It's basically dry shampoo, hairspray and volumiser in one and I love it ever so much.
You can get a more expensive versions too, from Lee Stafford and ranges like that in Boots, but cheap and cheerful prevails for this product in my opinion.
The only problem with it is that no hands running through hair will occur haha!
