Hi everyone

Never dyed my hair ever ever and now we are doing a tour and loads of us need to dye our hair for the show. I have blonde hair and I need to go v bright flouro pink for 6 weeks and then I really wanna be able to go back to my natural colour again- Will this be poss? Also, it really needs to look hot for the full 6 weeks... then we have another dark blondie who needs to go orange (bright) then a dark brown haired person who needs to go bright red..and a dark brown who needs to go a more natural darker red..... but we all need to be able to go back again at the end.. at least I want them to have that option... what brand should we use? Someone suggested putting another half bottle in with your reg shampoo to keep colour topped up.. des this work? Many questions! Thanks ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

House, this is what I think is best for you:

You can jump straight in with Special Effects dye in Atomic Pink.

For the orange - Special Effects Napalm Orange is really, really bright. There's also Hi-Octane Orange but that comes out red on some people.

For the bright red: Special Effects Cherry Bomb. Nuclear Red is more popular but will probably fade into orange. Cherry Bomb fades into like a pinky-red colour. I'd suggest using a bleach kit, depending on how dark their hair is. My hair was medium-brown though and it came out super bright with red. But yeah, I'd probably bleach it. Try the Manic Panic 30 Volume kit, because it comes with like everything you need.

For the natural red - Well, I'm not 100% on this one. I'd maybe use Special Effects Candy Apple Red (which doesnt look like a candy apple at all, really) and *not* bleach the hair.

SFX is arguably the longest lasting bright dye. I don't know if it'll make six weeks though, and either way your roots will be growing in. Plus, if you're on a tour, you'll be sweaty and trying to shower as much as possible, right? I don't know how long your hair is, but I'd suggest taking at least four bottles and trying to dye it again as you're on tour. It's really not super hard, if you're staying in hotels and stuff. Just wack it on your head, chuck on a shower cap, do whatever for two or three hours, then rinse it out. If you absolutely cannot do that, then the best thing for your colour is to mix it half & half with shampoo and your conditioner when you're washing your hair, and to wash with cold water. Also try to pick up a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner, because sulfate fades colour.

It'll fade out a lot by itself, especially on the natural-looking red one, but you'll all probably have to bleach your hair at least once and then dye it with a permanent dye in your natural colour to go back. Even though they're semi, they will probably stain hair (especially the bleached one) so your hair would still look kinda pink or blue or whatever you dye it.
