Schwarzkopf Gliss Shampoo

I tried this because I saw it for cheap, it was Schwarzkopf and is supposed to deposit keratin, have a UV filter and protect colour.  (Sounds way too good to be true, right?  It was.)

This shampoo made my hair feel beyond dry.  My ends actually went frizzy.  Frizzy.  They have never been frizzy in my life.  Even deep conditioning didn't help much--and regular conditioner made them feel completely fried.  They were that bad that it was taking three days before my natural oils made them feel soft again, and they were constantly getting snagged whenever I brushed my hair.  If my hair was tied back, the end of my ponytail looked like a giant fluffball.

I'm unsure if it's because of the keratin in it (but Joico has keratin and has never, ever done this to my hair) or if it's because it's not properly pH balanced.  I believe it's the latter, as Joico is pH balanced and has never done anything other than kindness to my hair.

Colour-wise, it did hold in a fair bit of colour.  That's the only positive I could find for it.

My happiest experience with it was when I finally finished it and threw it away.  I'm hoping some moisturising shampoo will help calm down my ends so I only need to take a couple of cm off in my trim at the end of this month, and not a couple of inches.

Huge thumbs down.  Don't buy this product.  Lesson learned--when it comes to protein reconstructors, don't skimp.  The cost you save in your wallet is not worth the cost of the condition of your hair.

I often find with any product, hair products or anything else, that a company excels at making one thing and totally bums at making everything else.

Schwarzkopf bleaches are by far the best - in my very humble opinion - but their dyes are... meh. If the shampoo seems naff that doesn't surprise me. Their best area is bleach, they should stick with that.

But then, I hate Tresseme. When I used that stuff it had the same effect that you're describing here! But millions of people swear by it so what do I know? lol ;D

I found this shampoo was good when I had normal dyed hair, but i wouldn't use it now. I just bought some intensive tresseme conditioner, i hope thats good! if not it was only like £2 from 4.99!
