Philip Kingsley Exfoliating Scalp Mask

First off, this tube is tiny. If I were to use it on my whole head I'd probably use the whole thing in one go. It's 20 ml so roughly it's about the size of a large bottle of nail polish give or take. I only really need to use it around my hairline by my face so it will probably last me a while.

It's fairly inexpensive, but considering the size of the tube it's not an amazing value. Cost me about $9.00 USD and if I had not found a site that offered free shipping to the US it would have been another $10 or so. Compared to some other scalp exfoliators I looked at it has more product and cost less. Shipping took forever, but it always takes about a month for me to get packages from over seas. If it was something I could pick up locally I'd definitely use this more often.

It's not gritty, more of a chemical exfoliator than a manual one. It says to leave on for 10-20 minutes. It does tingle a little bit but not much. The ingredients list on the website I ordered from listed menthol but the ingredients list on the product I received does not; the lists are quite different. There is also no menthol scent so I don't think it has it. Since it's not gritty it's easy to rinse out of the hair. It doesn't seem to leave any residue or film either.

It states that it's safe for color treated hair and I did not notice any color come up as I was rubbing it in. For once something that states it's color safe actually applies to semis and not just permanents and demis.

As far as the exfoliating goes it works pretty well. I have some pretty tough scaly dry patches and it can't totally remove them in one go. The lighter flaky patches are left smooth as a baby's bum though. It doesn't leave my scalp feeling dry or irritated afterward which is great because my scalp flakes due to extreme dryness not dandruff.

Overall I like it and recommend it but I'm on the fence about repurchasing just because it's a hassle to get it shipped here.

I don't know how I didn't see this thread before, probably because I haven't been on here as much the last couple months. So I'm late to this, but thanks for sharing! I know a few people that could really benefit from this. A few clients of mine have struggled with very dry scalp for years + have tried so many things to just clear their scalp without drying it out even more or causing any more itching, burning, leaving film, fading their color, etc. So thank you @spooki! <3
