Has anybody ever tried the mixnature product line, I'm thinking of customizing my own shampoo and conditioner but I wanted to see if anybody has tried the line and how they like it. I'm on the hunt for a new shampoo and conditioner because I've been using purelogy forever and I need a change.
I only heard about it the other day. I'll admit, it just seems super gimmicky to me...
I was looking around on the site. I can't find a way to see the base ingredients in the shampoo etc. That bothers me. I'm also getting sick of seeing "doesn't contain parabens" as if that's super good.
yea I don't get the whole paraben free kick everyone is on, I just contacted the company about the base shampoo to see if they will give me a list of ingredients, but im not holding my breath!
The parabens thing comes from a few years back when a study claimed they were slightly carcinogenic only to be proven wrong by peers.
As for this brand, £13.70, which is the total price for the shampoo +6 ingredients, seems kind of steep for 250ml. you would probably be better off buying a premade shampoo from a decent brand.
I buy Osmo shampoo (1L) from amazon for less than £15

Yeah, hence it really annoys me! 🙂 It was such bad 'science' it's embarrassing it's such a good marketing term now. But then bad science doesn't stop people believing it 🙁 They'll believe it because it fits their world view.
The price was another thing that shocked me too. I don't know if it's the same in the US, but here it's a minimum spend of £60 too. That's a lot in one go and you won't be getting much for your money. I get that it's freshly made... but what does that even really mean when it comes to shampoo. I question how much difference that would make. but it fits people's idea of "healthy", "fresh" and "natural". So much of that is utter rubbish. They give the idea that it's all freshly made so there will be some that imagine it being made in a kitchen or something. For those that read further, they'll imagine this lovely clean and fresh lab that it's being made in. I doubt that. It's obviously looking to make lots, which seems more likely it's at least a small factory. Nothing wrong with that, but I feel they're using marketing to mislead people a bit.
Yep and as suspected, radio silence from their end, I even went as far as to have a live chat with one of there customer service reps and they just kept giving me the run around about the products, so I'm going to count this in the no column. I think I might just order some samples of different shampoos and conditioners, because I feel my hair going through a change so it's going to be a lot of trial and error.
There's a girl on YouTube I watch sometimes who actually talked about this company the other day and she loves it.
But then she thinks that parabens are fillers. Of course, they aren't fillers, they're preservatives. And that's why beauty guru's on YouTube annoy me!
Yea you have to take anything said on You Tube with a grain of salt, I once watched a video of a girl who bleached her head 3 times in 1 day, I don't know how she still has hair!
