thank you ^.^ and i think it has, my hair does feel softer and sleeker since i've used the henna. the only thing was when i was washing my hair today i wasn't 100% sure if my hair was clean, as it felt kind of waxy? only really believed i'd washed my hair enough when it was dry and felt just dandy.

i do wish i'd tried henna before i chopped off my side bangs, as the ends were really unpleasant prior to straightening due to bleach and heat damage, would've liked to see how much difference the lush henna would have made. i do regret shaving them off, but i was getting sick of feeling compelled to straighten them just to keep them tidy - and i was bored with my previous hairstyle. i'm running out of hair to be bored with >.<

but yeah! i think it's improved the condition of my hair, but it feels a lot like silicones in that respect (henna coats the hair right?), just without the build up. oh .. i conditioner wash at the moment, i don't know if using a regular shampoo would have effected how my hair feels, now that i think about it >.<

okaaaay so i used the caca noir last weekend - it was just a very lazy weekend overall so i failed to get pictures afterwards, then forgot to get them during the week, but the result was a nice deep brown with red highlights in the sun (from the marron underneath i assume?). i liked it, but i wanted to see if i could go darker and therefore used the noir again yesterday. it still isn't black, but its even darker than last week and has barely started oxidizing ^.^ the parts of my hair that were bleached have taken to the noir a lot better than the rest, but i suspect my own forgetfulness has helped with that ..

see, being so used to actively not washing my hair prior to a bleach or box dye so the oils and what have you can protect my scalp, it hadn't occurred to me to wash my hair before the henna >.> really only crossed my mind when i was perusing the long hair community forums henna section and i came across *several* posts stating to clarify your hair first! makes sense i guess, i have oils and product coating the strands which will inhibit the henna. so i do wonder if i'd have had even darker results if i hadn't been a numpty XD

i'll find out in two weeks - going to england this weekend and i don't fancy doing the henna thing in front of my parents, but i can do it the sunday after i get back ^.^ may have pics up later in the week, the house is an explosion of clutter just now so not comfortable submitting evidence of that >.>;

Glad it worked for you. I have read that the darker lush hennas can be a bit hit or miss. I wonder if it took well to your hair because there was already henna there for it to bind to? I personally dont find a difference between applying it to dirty and clean hair but then again i do tend to leave it on for 6+ hours.
