Tried this last night on my sister's hair, and in my opinion, total waste of money!
It barely lightened her hair at all, the very ends were maybe a tad lighter but really not by much at all, and you couldn't tell unless you lifted it up and placed it next to her roots.
The comb they provided you with was pretty useless as well. I ended up using a combination of the comb to do the more blended parts, but then just applied it elsewhere with my hands, as the comb just didn't do a good job of getting the dye on the hair.
Even though the dye hardly lifted the colour, my sister's hair is now very dry, even though we applied coconut oil first and she'd had a good trim to get rid of any stray split ends. So it seems to have dried her hair out, but not lifted the colour. She's now got to do some TLC on her hair to get it back in condition before doing anything else.
For anyone thinking of buying this, save your money and just use a normal blonde dye, and then do the backcomb and scrunch technique, you'll get a far better result!
awh pity it didn't work π but still at least others know now. mabye for your sister make sure to use a good conditioner as the coconut could of contributed to the drying effect if she didnt need the protein.
Uh oh. That's even worse then. Now we're going to get a bunch of people coming on asking why their hair is ruined but no lighter. Sigh.
Aww no that's crap! Are you going to try again later with a bleach bath or something?
Yeah, I've told her to make sure she gets a good conditioner and do some deep conditioning treatments with it.
Probably Janine!
I think we're going to leave it til she's home for Christmas from uni before trying again. Get her hair back in condition first, but yeah, will probably try a bleach bath instead.
I've given up on loreal so many times. 5 years ago they were brilliant!.. I have bought there majicolor and this will be the last time i use their products if it turns out bad =/
