Lime Crime Eye Primer and Eyeliner - WOW!!!

I ordered some cosmetics from Lime Crime (Lime Crime) for the first time last week, and I used them yesterday.  Since there aren't any reviews of Lime Crime yet, I thought I'd share my experience!

Firstly, the parcel arrived 6 days after I placed my order (I'm in the US).  The website said due to heavy order volume, it can take 2-3 days to process an order before it ships.  The box was plain white on the outside, but it was printed on the inside... pink with purple polka dots and the Lime Crime logo on the inside of the lid.  Everything was wrapped up really sweetly in neon yellow tissue with Lime Crime logo stickers to close them.  It felt like opening a pressie!  πŸ˜‰

Now, for the products I'm reviewing.

Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper (Primer) and Eyeliner in Quill: The primer is a bit pricey at $20 USD per tube, but for how well it works, I'd deffo buy it again!!!  It only took the tiniest little bit... and it works a treat.  Seriously impressed here.  The liner I didn't feel was priced too high at $13.99 USD; again, for how well it wears, I'd say it's worth every penny.  The liner went on really smoothly, and it didn't crack like some other fluid liners I've used.  As the liner dried, at first at made my lids feel a bit tight, but that feeling relaxed after about 15 minutes of wear.

I applied my makeup at 1:00 p.m. and then I went out to the supermarket.  It was about 78F/25C but not too humid, so I didn't melt but I am naturally very oily.  I came home and put all my groceries away and started on dinner which was a three hour process start to finish (including washing up some of the larger pots/pans).  At 7pm, eyes looked great yet!  Colour was still bold.  I saw no evidence of smudges, smears or creases and my liner was still crisp... even in the corners of my eyes!  I have been using gel liner because it's supposed to be waterproof, and it always ends up coming off in the corners of my eyes and off my water line really quickly.  πŸ™  The Quill eyeliner from Lime Crime hadn't budged.  πŸ˜€

Now... for the ultimate test.  I had a really busy evening, and had to bring my son to work at 11:00 p.m. because his car is in the shop for repairs.  By the time I got home and got all my bedtime chores accomplished, I fell into bed exhausted without washing my face.  I know, bad bad bad.  But much to my surprise, I woke up with my eyes still fairly intact!!!  o.O  I had smudged the liner on the inner portion of my left eye because I rubbed it... but my shadow and liner were still decent.  I'm attaching a couple of pics; first is freshly applied makeup, and second is of my eyes after I woke up to show you... it's kinda crazy how good those eyes look for having slept all night, and I'm a restless sleeper.  πŸ˜‰  Please excuse the shiny nose and rubbed off brows. LOL!

All-in-all, I think these products were worth every penny I paid and I would deffo purchase them again.  πŸ˜€

That's impressive! The only eye primer I have tried was the elf one and it was rubbish. That said, my lids don't get oily so shadow stays on pretty well anyway.

My search for my HG eyeliner continues, I don't get on too well with liquid liners as I struggle to get a smooth line thanks to my crepey lids. I'm off to see if Lime Crime do liner pens…

Looks beautiful!! πŸ™‚ I never wear eye-shadow, and cannot for the life of me put on eyeliner, but I think eyeliner is so pretty and really wanna learn! I should go look for a tutorial because I am completely in love with their Lazuli eyeliner and I really want it.

I've also been lusting after basically their entire range of lipsticks for a while now, but I also fear for my wages if I get started. I mean how can I choose just one out of all these fantastic colors? πŸ˜‰

I am also scared of how quickly I will deplete my money if I start buying Lime Crime!  I've already got my eye on about Β£75 worth of their stuff, just can't quite justify spending the money yet!

I think the tube of eyeshadow helper will last me ages as I use just the teeniest tiniest little dab and it covers both eyes.  That's a bonus.  I also don't know that I'll use the fluid liner all the them as I prefer more of a smokey eye and the fluid liner is too crisp.  But it lasts and lasts and doesn't flake or peel which is truly ace!  πŸ˜€
