Holland and Barrett Moroccan Argan Oil Treatment

Recently bought this on a bit of a whim, it appeared to have no silicone's, but now I've found it on the website I see there are more listed ingredients and I'm not sure?!
Anyway it seems lovely, I've used it on damp hair before shampooing and usual conditioning and found my hair is soft and smells amazing. Anyone else used it?

I havent used it but might give it a try. Skimming through the ingredients, it dosnt look like it contains any silicones. It is mostly oils from different plants.

Do you think it was worth the Β£8?

Yeah, well my hair is pretty damaged at the moment, so nothing seems to be nourishing it enough really. I imagine it works wonders on healthier hair, it does give it a good shine and the ingredients are very oil-heavy, as you said, which is always good!

What is actually so bad about silicones? I think I must have missed something because I don't know why everyone is avoiding them :s

Its only because they coat the hair to make it seem healthy. Some people dont like that

Yeah they can mask the true condition of your hair. I think they're ok personally, as long as you're aware that your hair may not be a nice and shiny as it seems. Also they can make your hair a bit lank if they build up too much, but that's easily removed with a clarifying shampoo.

(My main problem with them is with people who over process their hair but think everything is ok because they used cone-heavy stuff - unaware of the above - that hides damage and think everything is hunky dory.)

Ah I understand now. I know I've been fooled in to thinking my hair's not dead by hair products before. Thanks for clearing that up πŸ™‚
