Garnier Nutrisse Blonde Pre-Lightener +

Today I bleached my hair for the first time using Garnier Nutrisse Blonde Pre-Lightener + and I was quite impressed with the result.

My mum bought two of these bleaches (one for each of us) which were supposed to be Β£5 once, but were on offer for Β£8 for two.

When the dye was applied, it didn't cause my scalp any pain, make me feel like it was burning or make my eyes sting. I got a bit of it on my ear and head, but even that didn't hurt in the slightest. It did itch, but only the same as any other dye I have used; and my eyes only felt strange at one point for a few seconds. However, when my mum applied her bleach she said it made her scalp feel like it was burning, so I suppose it varies from person to person. The only problem with the application of the bleach was that when my mum was applying mine, it wouldn't come out of the bottle after a while and my mum had to cut it to make it come out again.

Only a short while after the application, I noticed a big change in my hair colour. Before the bleaching, my hair was faded black from the last time my hair was dyed, and this bleach made my hair a lot lighter than I expected it would be. On some places it is ginger, the roots are white blonde and the thicker bits are darker. It is quite patchy, but that isn't really anything a large amount of blonde hair on the darker areas can't fix.

I left it on my hair for about an hour and a half. After washing out the bleach and using the conditioner from the dye kit, my hair felt soft and in good condition, instead of being frazzled. Now, after about an hour of bleaching, my hair still smells of dye, but this isn't really a problem for me and the smell isn't as strong as it was when I had the bleach on my hair.

In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this product. πŸ™‚

Sorry your mum suffered a bit. It does affect some people more than others.

As for yours needing more room to get out the bottle it's possible that some powder product got stuck in a ball and plugged up the nozzle, mine does that from time to time but a good shake of the bottle loosens it up nicely.

The XXL stuff I use has a seal on the bottle which gets popped into the bottle by the nozzle top when you screw it on. This sounds like a good idea coz it's intended to seal the bottle until the exact moment you're going to use it but the plastic bit often gets stuck in the nozzle and needs to be shaken out, drives me mental!

Glad you're happy with your results. ~hugs~ to your mum though.

Yeah, I must be better for bleaching. My mum is okay now though and is currently dying her bleached streaks purple xD

It could have been that, and it was quite annoying haha.

Thankyou πŸ˜€
