Claims "It is proven: hair is two times stronger and shinier on the outside. *after ten applications of fortifying fruit complex .... The secret: 1 Olive oil nourishes the hair from root to tip. 2 Avocado oil softens the hair fibre. 3 Shea butter nourishes and smooths the surface."

Ingredients "Water, cetearyl alcohol, palm oil, behentrimonium chloride, CI 19140/yellow 5, CI 15985/yellow 6, niacinamide, sugar cane extract, stearamidopropyl dimethylamine, olive fruit oil, chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, limonene, camellia sinesis leaf extract, linalool, benzyl salicylate, isopropyl alcohol, apple fruit extract, pyridoxine HCl, avocado oil, shea butter, citric acid, butylphenyl methylpropional, lemon peel extract, hexylcinnamal, glycerin, fragrance FIL C35637/1."

Not that these are the ingredients for the new formulation but the changes are in the minor ingredients - various plant extracts and blackcurrant seed oil have been lost. Although the product is marketed as being based on olive, avocado and shea, IMO the secret ingredient is actually palm oil - a rich source of palmitic acid, a key lipid on the cuticle surface that is degraded by sulphate surfactants and chemical processing.

Review
Although this is a wash out product I have been using it as a leave-in on my damaged/ porous hair for over a year, after reading numerous rave reviews on the Long Hair Community. This product provides as much slip, shine and softness as any silicone conditioner I have used, and I have experienced no build up despite conditioner-only washing. As a leave in Repair & Shine also aids in colour retention but can leave hair feeling sticky and tangly whilst it dries. DO NOT be tempted to brush or comb your hair if this occurs because you will cause damage, just leave it to become soft and tangle free once fully dry. Despite growing out mechanical damage, I didn't have my hair professionally trimmed for a year without getting split ends so feel this product provides excellent protection when used as part of a gentle routine.  *1* IMO Repair & Shine represents excellent value for money (400ml for Β£3+ in Boots, cheaper elsewhere) especially when used as a leave in.

I know a few of you have recently purchased this Fructis product so hop you will add your reviews to this thread!  8)

I can honestly say this product is amaaazing.

I have been using redken shampooo and conditioner - which has been costing me around Β£30 per month - but am having to rein in the hair budget so im always on the lookout for cheaper alternatives that are not only good for my hair, but are not choc full of silicones!!

So yesterday i used it after the last of my redken shampoo and WOW!!!
My hair is silky soft, and it looks very smooth and has an incredible shine!!!
This far surpasses any results iv had with conditioners from professional ranges - really it is just the best conditioner i have ever used.

And i got it from poundland so it was cheap as chips too!!

In german it's called "oil-repair."

i definately gonna try this πŸ™‚

How much do you take as leave in? Do you mix it with water before or do you even use a spray bottle?!

Ooooh thank you for sharing another name RainbowBOOST, wonder if it is the same elsewhere in Europe? I use the conditioner straight up BUT on quite wet hair because I am curly. I use a couple of one inch round blobs since my hair is so porous, but you would be safest to start with less or dilute it.

I think I'm one of very few people who this conditioner doesn't agree with D:
It makes my hair feel all waxy and heavy πŸ™

Pippa (or anyone else who uses the baby oil as serum) does this work as I kind of anti-frizz serum? I'm using one that I really love atm but it's FULL of silicones. I want to find a anti-frizz serum that isn't so silicone heavy.

Ooo I'm not sure, I use the sleek and shine, check the ingredients against a ( rather long and boring) list of silicones I posted on this thread :
