Alberto is amazing. I'm off to get another couple of tubes tomorrow. When I try this stuff I'll do post to.compare π
Do you know any place where you can buy it on-line? I'm from Portugal and we don't have that here and I'm really needing it ^^ Thanks
www.boots.com sells it, but I don't know how much the shipping cost would be to Portugal, or if they even ship internationally.
I don't think they ship it here, I tried ebay but didn't find it there. If any of you find out other place that ships internationally let me know please... Thanks
i used it last night after colour b4 and it made my hair super duper! mixed it with kpak for good measure. i went from mop to soft =)
Just bought a tub today! Can't wait to give it a go.
I tried this stuff the other day. It was great but didn't leave my hair as smooth as Aussie 3 Minute Miracle. It's a great moisturiser though. I used it in conjunction with Aussie today and my hair is definitely feeling softer. Great value for the money.
Just bought it from my pharmacy, will use it tonight, smells a bit funky doesnt it!? haha
it looks like advocat! makes me giggle when i look at it. its quite runny though, sam got it everywhere when applying ot to my hair!
I dont think I like it! Slepped it on after shampooing with mane n tail, left it for about7-8 minutes, rinsed it out and my hair didnt feel conditioned at all, so put mane n tail condidstioner on breifly after to make it feel smooth. rinsed, wraped in a towel, leaving it to air dry now, but my hair feels rough and its made it super stretchy! I can pull a strand of hair from my shoulders down to the bottom of my ribs....eek! Did I do something wrong?
You have symptoms of over-conditioning. Over-conditioning makes your hair really stretchy. All you can do is just go back to your normal routine. Maybe use another shampoo than mane n tail because it has lots of conditioning stuff in it, use a really simple shampoo and conditioner if possible. The roughness you feel could be build up as well.
Oh right! didnt know you could over condition! Only thought you could over do the protein!
My normal routine is lots of conditioner as I frazzled my hair with bleach a few weeks ago! what do I do?!
I wrote a super long answer yesterday and I got logged out grrr. Did you do something since? Did you try doing another wash to remove all the residue? That's what I would do, but potentially using a shampoo simpler than mane n tail which is super rich (has lots of cones and protein in it) and then depending on what your hair feels like after washing, maybe a simple conditioner (like an alberto balsam type of thing).
Oh no! lol. I left it in the end (was on my way to meet my mum who's come to visit me at uni) It feels quite nice now! not so stretchy. But im gonna wash it either tonight or in the morning, gonna use I Love Juicy from lush to clear any residue and then alberto balsam, sound good? I also got a free ApHogee reconstructor from an amazon seller cos the shipping took too long on something else I ordered! Should I wait a while to use that one?
Yea that sounds perfect. I love Juicy is really good for deep cleaning.
I can't really tell how often you need to do a protein treatment as it really depends on your hair, but for mine I do them between every 2 to 4 weeks (K Pak reconstructor), always following immediately with a good moisture treatment. But I only wash my hair twice a week and condition wash half the time so the protein is definitely not getting washed from my hair very fast.
I had an incident with an overload of protein when I did a protein treatment and then used coconut oil every wash after that (which prevents from protein loss) so the extra protein from the K Pak wasn't getting washed out. My hair was so stiff and brittle and horrible, but then I clarified and moisturised and it was all better.
