It just leaves it a bit smelly and dry, no damage. Just deep condition after.

Hi there, sorry to jump in on this but I am going to use the colourB4 this morning and no where on the box have I found if I am meant to wash my hair etc before I use it?
It hasn't been washed for abou 36 hours, it's in need of washing but isn't awfully bad.
If anyone knows if it should be washed first - this would really help, thankyou  πŸ˜€

I'd wash it, but don't condition and get it mainly dry.

Wash it, don't condition it and get it as dry as possible before you use it.

That's what I did and it worked a treat : )

I washed it, didn't condition it and honestly my hair looked shocking  πŸ™
My hair is naturally brunette and it went bright bright blondey ginger πŸ™  So, I've had to dye it again.
I guess in a way using the B4 was a good thing to get out all the reds and browns that I'd previouslly dyed my hair with before - so there is some positive.
If I ever used it again I wouldn't use the extra strong!

If you've used permanent dye, that ginge is probably your real hair at the minute.

This is because permanents bleach the hair slightly to lift out your natural colour before depositing the dye (which is why they all stink a bit ... cause of the bleaching action).

ok so i used colour b4 extra srenghth with my friend, my hair was black and not fading, hers was blonde roots, red regrowth and black at the ends.

it smelt, we expected this though, it is like rotten eggs, but tolerable, what is not is that 3 days on my hair still stinks and when i wash it the smell gets wose.

the colour.. mine lifted, but i expected a miricle (i did know it was a very long shot) i hoped it would take me back to my bleached blonde hair, nope. i wouldnt expect that. it does bring out a lot of the red and now is just a bit of a boring brown. this is fine for me as i just wanted to get it as light as possible to get it rebleached.

my friends just went bright ginger and stayed black at the ends.

the condition of my hair is shocking. it was shiny and soft, its now horrible rough lost its shine and smells. when the product was on it was really hard to bush through my hair. it does become very very knotty.

my friends hair condition hasnt chaned much, but hers was a litte dry before.

i think this may work better if you have just dyed it.

i wouldnt use it again. though it did get rid of some of the colour.

im not sure if you can do it striaght away, but it'd be better to give your hair a day for the pigment to settle down from the b4

well you can do up to 3 applications of the b4, so you could do a couple more perhaps? see if it evens up?
